How to restart the xbox system - Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite Console - Black

-Find router and Xbox
-Navigate to My Xbox utility and select System settings from menu
-Test connection when prompted
-Check location of modem
-Relocate devices
-Disconnect other internet capable devices
-Disconnect 3rd party headsets
-Move electronics away
-Obtain Ethernet cable
-Plug one end of Ethernet cable into Xbox
-Plug other end into router
-Restart both devices
-Turn on Xbox

If you get the error with just one game, but not others, unfortunately it is likely damage to the disc. If it is under warranty, or if you bought it at a return-friendly place, maybe you can get a replacement. If the system is giving you this error with several games, it is likely the disc reader in your Xbox. The Xbox 360 has a well-known issue with DVD drive failure over time. If your system is still under warranty, or sometimes even if not (because this was such a big problem for Xbox), Microsoft may repair it. Try calling them and patiently discussing it. I've had the same problem with my system, and found all my solutions here. Try it out, it worked for me.

Xbox 360 has limited codecs, if you want to utilize more file formats download the media pack on xbox live. but for your streaming pleasure try out TVersity or PS3 Media Server it also supports xbox. just install it on your PC then stream the videos to your xbox.

.Reset the network settings on your Xbox 360 console to the defaults. Here's how:

1. On your console, go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.Select Network Settings
2. Select Configure Network.Move right on the D-pad to access the Additional Settings tab and select Restore to Factory Defaults. Select Yes, restore to factory defaults when prompted.
   1. Note This will only reset the network settings and not other console settings.
      
      
   2. Restart the console.
      
      
   3. Go back to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.
      
      
   4. Select Network Settings.
      
      
   5. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

sounds like u may have audio and video cables switched??? maybe

Restart your modem or router, give it 30 minutes, and try again. If you still are not on live just check the tips they give you

This is usually a symptom of overheating

You have two possibilitys

1. Restart your system. Unhook everything and let the system cool off.

2. Buy new system. Xbox 360 are all defective. There arent really many choices when it comes to this.

it depends what game your playing somegames need a patch witch you can download on xbox live or chack your games to see if they have lots of scratchs or take the stuff of your xbox becuase it might be over heating
