Compare with a Pelican canoe, and see if its parts will fit.

Alternatively, make something similar out of aluminum tubing or hardwood.

Do consider if the boat is actually worth fixing. A used Coleman can be found for $250-350, and if you do much canoeing a used (better canoe) can be found for $450-550 in most areas.

Remove Four bolt`s under seat 14 mm or 15 mm hex bolt under plug any electric connect watch out for seat belt .

Plastic boat? Probably easiest thing is to use car wax. Pick something with UV protection.

To allow water to drain through it when it gets wet (and it will) rather than make a puddle that does not dry out until you sit in it.

1. Contact Pelican and try to buy one from them.
2. (What I would do) Go to a local shop that actually works on canoes. Get a wooden seat from them that is cut to the length you need to fit your canoe.

I would recommend painting it with a type of paint that would adhere to the material the canoe is made of whether that is aluminum, fiberglass, etc. My guess is that you have been leaving only half of the canoe in the sun, so when you store the canoe, either keep it in a shaded area or cover it with a tarp to keep the sun off.

Your going to have to replace the bracing, the poly plastic your canoe is made of needs it to retain it's shape. If its an older one the bracing should be made of aluminum tubing, you can buy this then cut to size shape and fit to your canoe. If its a newer one say made by pelican {they took over for coleman} its made of plastic this will prove to be harder to do. Either way its a big job

Marine Tex epoxy is for marine use. Use it all the time.

Check with your local canoe retailers. Most will have, or be able to order, a variety of seats to fit most canoes.
