If there is no cooling at all on the fridge section but the freezer works then it is confirmed that the compressor and gas pressure is OK. Now shut off the fridge and leave it powered off while you clean and check the evaporator for frost. If frost is seen it is a good indication as the compressor is working with sufficient gas within.
Now after about 6 hours plug in the fridge to start. Observe cooling to happen in about one hour and ice to from under three hours.
Earlier make sure that the thermostat was set to normal mode for freezer and fridge.
However if ice forms in the freezer then observe the fridge for about 24 hours for cooling to continue and the fridge to cut off . If not the auto defrost timer, or the thermostat must be checked. Frost formation without defrosting could block the air flow and so shut the air passage to the fridge. Also the blower fan must work and if this is not working then the fan can be faulty. Also a fault on the control unit is a suspect to non functioning of any one of these components.
If defrost timer works but frost keeps forming check while the compressor shuts if the heaters are working, check continuity of the heaters.
So try this test using a multi-meter on the defrost timer and the thermostat and make your observations so that we come to the solution.

Beko Fridge Freezer Ice Maker intermittent fault

I would agree with the the last poster just one final thing to check make sure the bottom of your fridge in the back of your fridge is dust free dust builds up on the condensers and they get blocks and they don't work as efficiently and also make sure there's the correct space between the back side top and bottom of the fridge according to the specifications I don't have them with me but you should have them in your user manual if you have one.

I'm getting frost and ice build up on the bottom and back of the fridge compartment on my LG French door fridge.

To me This is on all Makes and models build up of frost means warmer humid air is entering into colder air this will cause a frost build up from entrance of warm air coming in so your looking at your air flow in all compartments of your ref, freezer so on.
blocked air will give false readings to sensors when compartment is asking for lower temp colder temp will be noticed.
bad or obstructed door seals door not closing properly
Follow your frost line it will point the way.

Our top mount Kenmore fridge (Model # 253.77872509) is frosting up in the freezer section. Have turned off & defrosted the freezer on several occasions - it works for a few weeks but then begins...

Hi,

Normally when frost build up occurs it's because warmer outside air is getting into the freezer and the moisture from that warm air cools and condensates then freezes into frost or ice. You either have a bad seal like the other listing states try leveling the front a little higher than the back. Or you may have an issue with the defrost heater, thermostat or timer. Do you have a light that comes on from time to time? If so you have an auto defrost unit. If there is no light you may not have a frost free freezer which means you will have to remove the frost manually.

Buzzing sound

If noise stops when you open the door, you may have a noisy fan (or could have ice build up, causing fan blade to hit ice and cause noise). I gather it is a frost-free model ie has a fan in the freezer compartment. If noise is caused by fan hitting ice build up, you may have a problem with the auto defrost system, as you should not get ice build up in a frost free.
Noise stops when you open door because fan turns off when door is opened.

Frost buildup in frost free freezer

There is a defroster built into the ice maker to melt the ice a little around the edges before dispensing on most ice makers it may need replacing.
