My computer won't access my lgc900 even tough drivers are up to date and I can see it in devices

Click start control panel view devices and printers you should see your webcam from there

Click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down image devices you could see a yellow question mark?
right click to reinstall drivers or update driver xp

Some webcams and programs require additional software, although that should be installed with the webcam if things are right.

But is does not harm to check if your Java, Flash and Quicktime software are installed and up to date.
But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including webcams, use DirectX for video processing.

Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c - Windows Vista: DirectX 10).

Get TESTDISK and see if it is recognised, if so TestDisk has some tools that may help

You either have one of the following:
1. Bad Battery
2. Wrong adapter - yours no comprende w/ unit.
3. Cracked Jack - means you've got to get a tech to take the unit apart and replace it. $150-200
4. Goto your device manager, double click bat., then right mouse click on acpi driver and update it. Hopefully that works.
or
5. Dell needs to shoot out a bios flash fix.

Switch On your PC/ Laptop and log in to windows.

Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->Click 'System Restore'

A 'System Restore' window will appear.

Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next

Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.

Note: It is better if you could remember from which date you are facing the issue, try to select a date prior to that date.

The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.

Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.

After reboot your problem should be resolved.

What oprateing system are you useing is your drivers up to date?

go into device manager and uninstall driver then scan for hardware changes, this should trigger a driver reinstall

Install the downloaded software but it may not look like it worked on Windows 7 PCs. Vista automatically configures the settings on the bluetooth devices but for those who have Windows 7, here are the things you should do:

- Go to 'Device Manager' from 'Control Panel' -Or- just right-click on Computer Icon and choose 'Properties' and then click on 'Device Manager'.

- You'll see an 'Unknown Device' named 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device'
- Right-Click it and click on "Update Driver Software" -Or- anyway you find it easy to bring up the Update driver window.

- Click "Browse My Computer for Driver Software" button.

- Click "Let Me Pick from a List of Device Drivers on my computer".

- Select 'Bluetooth Radio' from the list if it asked you to select and then in the next window, it will show a list of drivers with Company Names in one list and Drivers in another. In the Company List choose 'Microsoft Corporation', not only Microsoft.

- From the drivers list there may be one or more drivers with the name "Windows Mobile-Based Device Support" with different driver versions. Select one or the latest.
- Ignore any warnings and keep pressing next and then Finish at last. If all goes well, the last screen will show the message that device driver is successfully installed.

Now, after manually updating the driver for your bluetooth device, in 'Device Manager' when you click on 'Bluetooth Radios', it should display one more item which will say 'Windows Mobile-based device support'.

There are few more things that you want to pay attention to. If you have already added the device in your 'bluetooth device list' that didn't work, then remove the device and add it again. After you add it, you might need to restart the computer if it gave you a connection problem error message.

The computer could be having some problems with its driver which is responsible for making the system to communicate with its sound card. There are two ways that you can do to make it work. You can do a system restore (restoring the computer to known good date) and by downloading the updated sound driver which you can get from the website of your computer's manufacturer.

System Restore

1. Click on start or the pearl button>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore
2. A window will open up. Select the date when your computer was still working fine.
3. Follow the instructions that will appear on the screen and let it finish until it will tell you that the restoration is complete.

Note: System restore won't affect the files and documents that you have saved in your computer. But, it will remove the programs and updates which happened after the restoration date that you will be selecting. Updates and changes in the computer's programs sometimes are the reasons for some corruptions in the system.

Driver Update or Installation

Go to the website of your computer's manufacturer. Then, look for support and downloads. Select drivers or drivers and downloads. Put in the model of your computer and look for the sound driver. Install it.

I've found that my DS won't connect to, and will sometimes not detect wireless networks if the encryption type is WP. I would suggest accessing the router settings and changing the password so that is uses a WEP encryption.

It could also be an issue where the router already has the maximum number of devices connected to the network, or you're simply not getting a good signal.
