If you want to use a garden hose to drain the water away from your dehumidifier, you must drill a hole in the outlet, yes. Is this your question?

Model DM32M Haier Dehumidifier. I am missing a part which diverts the water into the hose drain. All the water now goes directly into the bucket. I want it to drain into the sink nearby.

Did you punch out (or cut) the plug that the hose connects to? If not, its blocking the water from draining to the hose.

Please rate 4 stars if this is helpful. Thanks and good luck!

Hose is connected but water goes into bucket

Did you punch out (or cut) the plug that the hose connects to? If not, its blocking the water from draining to the hose.

Also, make sure the unit is higher than the drain and that the hose is not kinked or clogged.

How do i make it continue to run with no bucket so it does not fill and and so i don't have to empty it

Attach a length of garden hose no longer than 5 feet, to the threaded drain hose connection that was supplied with your unit, to carry water to the drain.
1. Remove the drain-hole cover on the back left side of your unit.
2. Connect a garden hose to the threaded drain hose connector.
3. Push hose connector tightly to the drain-hole on Rear Grille with the arrow on the tab pointing UP.
The hose attachment will accept a standard garden hose fitting.
Do not over tighten the hose when connecting it to the hose connector,
use a rubber washer and tighten by hand firmly without stripping the
plastic threads.
When being attached to hose connector drain hose connection,
do not bend or kink the hose. The hose should lie flat from the
dehumidifier to the drain.

The water seems to leak out the sides where the bucket goes in instead of the bucket filling up with water it goes on the floor.

sounds like the drain line might be clogged, with a piece of wire stick it in the line and see if it clears it. Hope this helped tim

I need to know how to attach a hose to the Goldstar DH305 Humidifier

There should be a spot on the water tank, that is threaded to fit a hose, but is blocked by a piece of plastic. You must remove the plastic "plug", the connect a hose to it. Also there is a "special" part that could be used. This part can be found at http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/search/modelinfo.php?modelsID=117164, and I am sure other places also. I hope this helps

I want to connect the hose to the back of the machine so it can drain directly into the sump pump. The users guide says that the hose adapter came with the product. If it did I lost it. I don't recall ever...

One place to find it is appliancefactory.com. The fitting is a male hose thread, so if you took a hose, it could just be threaded in. Take a look at the above mentioned site, they list it as part #CRCFD9259-010. Hope this helps

Water from LG 30 pt dehumidifier drains into reservoir instead of running through garden hose into floor drain like it is supposed to. Have checked...no obstructions to garden hose. Very frustrating...must...

(assumming you are not an idiot, like the other solver suggested) you may very well have it connected to the right spot, many of these units, are not balanced well, (or are balnaced all to well, depending on how you look at it) The imbalance, basically makes the water drip to the front, instead of the back. Try to put something under just the front of the machine, to tilt it back, ever so slightly. Good luck

I purchased a LG Dehumidifier MODEL LHD45EL and I followed instructions to attach a hose to it for the drain. I removed the drain hole cover and I don't see a drain hole connector or a hole to install it...

Remove the drain bucket. on the top there are two pieces that can be removed just by taking them out. they are just laying in there. 1 is the brush the other is the "drain tube insert" it is a plastic tube and has a threaded fitting on one end. take your garden hose with a female connector on one end just like you were going to install on your spicket outside of your house and connect it to the threaded end of the "drain tube insert" make sure you knockout the round plastic drain plug cover hole located in the back of the unit (it is behind where your power cord was stored) it has three tabs to break. remove drain bucket. take the drain tube with hose attatched and insert it into the drain plug hole in the back and attach it onto the drain outlet (the drain outlet is inside the drain bucket side at the top it looks like an elbow fitting) push the tube so that the flap with the arrow is flush with the back. once you get the "drain tube insert" almost all the way flush with the back -->if you look inside the drain bucket side you will see where it fits over the drain outlet

Problem with draining water through hose

I bought one of the FDL70S1 Frigidaire dehumidifiers today for my shop, and found that the $5 hose I bought to drain it through the floor wouldn't tighten down completely, allowing the hose to twist and wobble, a sure indication that it was not water tight. Simply adding a second washer, as described in another answer here, allowed me to tighten the hose sufficiently to produce a tight fit with no play between the hose and the dehumidifier. It hasn't leaked. I know it is a threads-per-inch issue, and I am stumped as to why Frigidaire would supply these units with a different thread pitch than the standard GHT (garden hose thread) 3/4" - 11.5 tpi. The threads on the unit appear to be 3/4 NPS - 14 tpi. Go figure!
