Are there different ringtones available for the NEC Electra Elite? if so, how can I change it. we have several phones in the same office and want to differentiate the ringtones.

Feature - Redial and then select the button you wish to change. Enter a 1 (not sure what that is for) and then the new extension. To verify that the button has changed, hit Feature and then the soft key to see if the extension is different.

you need to acces program mode and change 4-01 to assign ringing for the extensions you want to ring. ldtsnj.com

this type of phone requires a phone system to work

You have to be on the root phone or "first phone".
To check various phones -Hit {feature} 4.
Should display 100= TEL 01. Once on the first phone then use {feature} 9 #.
Time will flash at top of display and can be adjusted.

If you are not on the first phone you will get error at the top of the display. Leave the hand set on the hook.

You must access system manager in the system. Call your office and get the main greeting than dial 632 for system manager. You must know the password to get in. than listen for mgr options. than listen for opening greetings. Remember 1=yes 2=no.

in system programming you will need to restrict phones to localcalls only
