You have a Version 1 (V1000) router, and you cannot use Version 5 hardware firmware on it. That's why you received this error. You always have to use the latest version of the V1000 firmware if it has something you need.

Now, after factory reset, settings go back to defaults. If you were connecting wirelessly, you just changed your security key and maybe your encryption method as well. Try plugging directly into the switch on the router and access the web gui at 192.168.2.1 again and reconfigure your settings.

Hi florent_elev, what i did was create a volume and then ran the firmware update. This worked for me and it took me to firmware version 1.0.0_2569. It was about 3 to 5 minutes to complete.

Most major brands have a simple method of updating Firmware. You download the FW file, burn it to a disk. Put the disk in the player. The player will recognize the update and handle the update. It may take some time as some files are large.

Warning: Updating with the wrong version of Firmware, or if the process is interrupted, it can render you player useless.

Find the version your player is currently using. Then go to JVC Support to see if there is a newer version available. Hope this helps.

Yes the AKAIO firmware from http://www.acekard.com/news.php#48 will work but you must also download the AKAIO update recently released onto the micro sd. ak2ifw_update_14_DSi.nds run the update in another nintendo ds lite or an dsi that has not been updated and this will update your acekard such that it works with the updated NDSi 1.4.
