The TS55 is a DVC subwoofer that can be wired for either 4 ohms (voice coils in series) or 1 ohm (voice coils in parallel). The appropriate wiring depends on the amp.

If the amp is stable at 1 ohm, wire both positives and both negatives to the matching amp output terminal (parallel) as shown in Wiring Option #1.

If the amp isn't stable at 1 ohm, connect a jumper between the positive on one voice coil and the negative on the other voice coil. Then connect the remaining positive and negative to the matching amp output terminal (series) as shown in Wiring Option #2.

OK you guys I have two 12inch digital design red line subwoofers witch peak power is 1800watts but I got them wired to a 1200 but yes what's way to tune

Tuning is a function of math related to the enclosure..You need HXWXD and material thickness, Speaker type and SPL and port size if you are going to have it ported.

Red is positive +

The little plus and minus marks are your guides, they should be on the adapters to tell you which is which.

What is Positive and what is Negative

Hi Mason.
Are the positions colour coded in any way?
Red = Positive
Black = Negative
I've looked at some photo's from the website and at a guess I would say that yours are the push on crimp types, so no colour markings.
Have a look at the pdf wiring diagram they supply here as it may shed some light on things:
MTX Thunder US-XT12-44
I've looked over loads of forums but none seem to mention the wiring of these subs.
Understandably you want to get this right as they are a very nice set of subs when they're up and running.
If all else fails try looking at the MTX contact list and ringing one of their supported dealers for more info.

How do i wire two kicker l7 dual 2 ohm subs to play on a mtx 7801 class d amplifier

Hello moore_broder,

Your MTX 7801 is stable at 1 ohm, but you cannot wire a pair of DVC 2 ohm subs to that impedance. They can only be wired to 1/2 ohm which is too low or to 2 ohms.

Series the voice coils and parallel the subs. On each sub, jumper Black to Red/White Dot, then run both red's (positive) and both black/white dot's (negative) to your amp terminals.

The diagram is here.

Hope this helps.
