Hello
You haven't mentioned anything about your tVs brand name and model number. Anyway; in most TVs the fuse will be a glass cartridge type of 250V 3.5Amps one. OK.

Hello == For such devices the fuse will be of SMD [Surface Mount Device] types. You can't replace it by normal soldering methods. It will be very small in size and need special machines to solder in. OK

What is the common cost of sharp tv when quecly tornoff

Not sure what issue is: it turns on then quickly off?

short in power supply or more commonly in the high voltage area---bad solder connections (age of set does not matter) are also very common.

Stopped working.....does not turn on.

hi,
your dvds samps switch mode power supply has some complaint. remove the power and oppen its cover and check the fuse inside.if it found blued, maybe the smps driver mosfet or the MOV aftre fuse may be damaged. MOV is a component which blues the fuse if there is an over voltage surge over the specified limit. if found faulty replace it.

I can't get any power? What is wrong? I tried with the remote and also using the buttons on the tv...still no power.

Hello cwcritters, hi, does your tv front panel has any pilot light on or nay sign that the TV is on, if yes, there is problem with the main board and power supply, probably a short, this TV is on standby, here are the things to check, a shorted horizontal output transistor, a bad voltage regulator, or any ICs that are overheating, NOW if there is no light at all, then your TV may have fuse open. A fuse opens when a user plugs the TV while the power switch is on, causing a surge of electric current. or TV develops a shorted regulator. If you dont know anything about electronics, dont do the service yourself, you may further damage the TV, better call service.

Tv will not light up.

Your main fuse blew if its dead but it could have caused other issues with an electrical spike when the power went off, this is kind of common..pull the back, replace the main fuse and see if it blows it again, if it does then the diodes in the hot side of the power board are bad and would need replacing.

Power problem

If you don't have any indicators working, you have probably lost your power supply. With no picture and no sound the chances are you have either lost the power supply or blown a fuse. If you remove the cover and look at the circuit board there is a fuse located near the rear of the chassis near where the power cord connects to the chassis. If the fuse is blown, it is advisable to replace your damaged power cord before replacing the fuse. The cord could have a short and this could create a fire. Be very careful when working on any television. Be sure it is unplugged for more than one day to allow the high voltage to decay from the picture tube. Do not touch the picture tube, it still may have some residual voltage and could shock you. If you replace the cord and fuse and still have the same problem, you will probably find that the high voltage transistor is bad and needs to be replaced.
