Hi, I have a 5-year Panasonic TH-42PZ700E plasma and a week ago it got broken. When I tried to power it up with the remote, it just didn't do anything. Tried the power button with the same result. When plugged to AC power and turned on, you can hear the relay click once and then the red LED stays fixed, no blinking. Also, a high-pitch buzzing noise can be heared, like 13 o 14KHz, When turned off, the relay clicks again, LED shuts down and noise stops. No response to remote IR signal at all. I tried to open it and to do the service manual test for dead units, coming to an advice to check S and K boards (power switch and remote board), which seem to be OK. I also checked all the fuses and are OK. Any ideas of what can it be? For what reason it isn't showing the self-check blinking codes? Thanks!

Hi from your description it sounds like your TV is turning on since the red light stays on and it's not blinking. In that case I would say that since your TV is on but you are not geting a picture then one of your Zustain boards is bad. the first thing I would do is to check the fuses since you said you already did that and they are fine you can check that their is high voltage getting to your Zustain board. Their is a sticker on the screen that tells you how much voltage they should be geting. Usually about 220 volts. If you are getting voltage to both bords you can check to see if the heat sinks are getting how. They are supposed to be hot so if they are not that board is bad. If all else fails you can try replacing both boards. To order parts you have to get the part numbers from the actual parts. You can get parts from www.interliquidparts.com

Green and black screen when I use turn Direct TV box

Try changing the input device to something you are sure, works such as a DVD player.

Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours.

If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.

My Panasonic TH-50PZ7OOU will not turn on. The red light on the lower left is on, but the screen is completely dark. pressing power button on both TV and Remote control gets no response.

Try to power it up with the remote control. When you hear the relay's click, see how many times the red light flashes. This will tell us what the fault is.

Hi:
You will need to count the number of red led blinks on the power indicator, if it is at least 10 then replace the power supply it is faulty, In my years of servicing panasonic Plasma, power supply failure is about the most common failue in this class of television from this manufacture.

Panasonic TH-42PX75U won't turn on

Your powerboard is damaged, and need to be replaced.

Sometimes it appear the TV is working again with no problem but it is only a matter of time for the board to get completely damaged.
