Hi, I have a 5-year Panasonic TH-42PZ700E plasma and a week ago it got broken. When I tried to power it up with the remote, it just didn't do anything. Tried the power button with the same result. When plugged to AC power and turned on, you can hear the relay click once and then the red LED stays fixed, no blinking. Also, a high-pitch buzzing noise can be heared, like 13 o 14KHz, When turned off, the relay clicks again, LED shuts down and noise stops. No response to remote IR signal at all. I tried to open it and to do the service manual test for dead units, coming to an advice to check S and K boards (power switch and remote board), which seem to be OK. I also checked all the fuses and are OK. Any ideas of what can it be? For what reason it isn't showing the self-check blinking codes? Thanks!

Hi from your description it sounds like your TV is turning on since the red light stays on and it's not blinking. In that case I would say that since your TV is on but you are not geting a picture then one of your Zustain boards is bad. the first thing I would do is to check the fuses since you said you already did that and they are fine you can check that their is high voltage getting to your Zustain board. Their is a sticker on the screen that tells you how much voltage they should be geting. Usually about 220 volts. If you are getting voltage to both bords you can check to see if the heat sinks are getting how. They are supposed to be hot so if they are not that board is bad.
