The best and cheapest way to descale irons, steamers, etc. is to use white vinegar, mixed 1 cup to a quart of water. Pour in the iron and allow to steam. The vinegar will dissolve the calcium, which is the blocking scale. Do this a few times toensure that the holes are clear and operating correctly. For the last rinse, put a little lemon into plain water and allow to steam. This gets rid of any vinegar smell.

My new beldray 12 in 1 steam mop makes a clicking noise when using?

I don't find specific information about this problem. Here are some things to try. If they don't work, you may call beldray customer service. Check the water tank: Ensure that the water tank is filled with enough water and is properly inserted into the mop.
Clean the mop head: Remove the mop head and clean it thoroughly. Dirt or debris on the mop head can cause clicking noises.
Check for blockages: Check for any blockages in the nozzle or steam outlet. You can use a needle or pin to remove any blockages.
Descale the mop: If your mop has not been descaled in a while, it could be causing the clicking noise. You can descale your mop by following the instructions in the user manual.

Polti Steam Generator heating up but no steam coming out?

Polti have many models. All question need 'make model (what it is)' as the first 3 words in every question. Otherwise it is a but of a guess.

If it is getting hot, then it should be producing steam. There can only be on reason and that is that something is blocked with limescale. Has it ever been descaled?

If it the type that has a hot flat iron and a hose to a steam generator tank, then it is possible that the element has failed. It is worth descaling that unit as well just in case there is a blockage down there. Add the descaling solution and turn it on for 5 minutes. Turn it off, leave 5 minutes and give it a shake every 5 minutes for 30 minutes. The descaling solution will only remove scale from places the solution touches.,

Power steam elite not registering descale

We had this problem whilst still in warranty. Without question they sent a new iron. We have only used the di-ionised water in the new one making descaling much less painful

I have a SIMAC steam iron that isn't performing well at the moment. I think it needs descaling as it is making a large whistling sound when I turn it on and it has heated up. Can someone tell me what...

To clean the reservoir of your iron, pour a solution that is one part vinegar to one part water in. Turn the iron on. Allow it to steam for about four minutes. Drain the iron for an hour, and be sure to repeat the process with clean water before you iron any clothing items.

Regardless of setting, I have not been able to get any more than 1/4 to 1/3 of a cup of coffee. The water barely comes out and now the descale message is on the screen. I need instructions for...

Although this is in "Problem with Vacuums," I found it while searching for a solution to my steam cleaner vacuum problem. You must be talking about a Keurig or Breville-Keurig coffee maker. Tap water, especially chemically softened tap water, contains minerals that require periodic descaling, as often as every two months if you make only a couple of cups a day.

Filling the tank with white vinegar and making multiple large mugs without a Keurig coffee cup in the holder will remove most scale. There are products that claim to do better than white vinegar if this does not work. Amazon sells a couple of brands in its Keurig section.

It will take several tank fulls of clean water to rid the machine of the vinegar or commercial cleaning solution. Use distilled water for this. Then switch to good bottled water without a heavy mineral load.

Polti Vaporetto 2400: Water out light comes on when tank is full

Hi you need to put 5ml of Kal Stop fo Polti machines into 1000/1500ml of water into the tank, The stronger solution is better (1000ml) Let it heat up and this should break down the limescale on the solenoid. I tried this today and it has worked saving ££££'s in repair by Polti.
