When you hook the cable up your computer will auto detect it and pop up a menu asking you what you would like to do. you will then say copy files and direct the location they go to. If you do not get this popup look inside your my computer icon and it should give you a drive letter with name of your phone. select that and drag photos over

At the top of your phone display you will see a USB icon. Click on the top of the screen and mount the memory card. Your computer will recognize your memory card as a disk drive.

Click on my computer and select the letter for the memory card. Look for the photo folder.

T-Mobile is doing an over the air upgrade to fix some syncing problems this week.

Contact 611 from your cell phone and select G1 support for more information.

Try to use WiFi connection, download the app (PS PC suite WiFi explorer) in Google play then connect your laptop and HTC phone to the same WiFi router or use tethering from your mobile phone. How to download photoes to my computer
One way to download photos to your computer is through USB connection. Please try the following:
  1. Use the USB cable to connect your Phone to the PC. Select "Disk drive" on the pop-up menu seen on the phone.
  2. At your PC, search for *.jpg at the newly added USB storage device (this is your phone). Pictures taken are usually found at F:\dcim\100MEDIA (the drive letter may vary).

Hi there!

You can transfer the pictures from your HTC Hero to your laptop using a USB cable.

First, make sure that you're phone is turn on. Connect the usb cable to the computer and to your HTC. Once you connected the phone & the computer, there will be a USB Connected option that will appear in your phone. Choose "mount." Open my computer and a new USB drive will appear. Open it and look for "DCIM" folder. Open that folder and open the folder named "100Media," that contains all the pictures from your camera.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD MY PICTURES FROM MY HTC DESIRE TO MY LAPTOP
Connect your HTC Desire to your laptop. Select "Disk Drive" on the popup on your phone. Then use your laptop to search for the pictures.

P.S. On a HTC Wildfire, pictures taken are found at F:\dcim\100MEDIA (the drive letter may vary).

You can copy your music, photos, and other files to your phone's storage card.

  1. Connect your phone to your computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. On your phone's Connect to PC screen, tap Disk drive, and then tap Done. On your computer, the connected phone is recognized as a removable disk.
  3. Navigate to the removable disk and open it.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Copy the files from the computer to the phone's storage card's root folder.
    • Copy the files from the phone's storage card to a folder in your computer.
  5. After copying the files, unmount the removable disk (that is, the connected phone) as required by your computer's operating system to safely remove your phone.

Using HTC Touch 2 as modem for laptop
First of all you need to install the Microsoft ActiveSync (for windows XP) or WIndows Mobile Device Center (for Windows Vista) After that open the Internet Sharing, select USB and click on Connect. Now connect your USB cable to the Laptop, it shall install the drivers automatically, wait for a few minutes and after that you can use the Internet on the laptop via your phone.

connect it using the cable . Use the usb mode . Open it as a usb drive and copy whatever files on the phone to the computer . And also onthe phone the files have to be on the memory and not on the phone memory .

For Windows XP:
You need to download the Microsoft ActiveSync from the following location:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/activesync-download.mspx

Install it on your computer, connect the phone to computer u sing USB and ActiveSync will open up. Click on Explore button in ActiveSync and all the contents of your phone would be shown and you can copy/paste files as normal.
