Samsung lcd has no power, the red power light doesn't even come on. Could this be a fuse? Power supply board? If so, where are the fuses located?

You either have a problem with your power supply board or main board. I would start with having the power supply fuse checked as well as the power supply board!

The power supply fuse should be next the the ac input plug on the power supply. It should be a long cylinder type fuse, probably a T6.3AH/250V. You will want to replace those caps ASAP

Blown fuse caused by a shorted power supply. Relacing the power supply board should solve the issue in most cases. You can get a power supply board from www.tvrepairworld.com

I assume you are referring to the ac fuse, it is located on the power supply board. Just follow the ac power cord and it should lead you to it. If your set doesn't have a built in power cord, the fuse will be next to the power cord connector.

check for blown fuse, if the fuse is good replace bulged capacitors. if still doesn't works tried to remove the connector going to the inverter board for screen back light might have shorted line that can cause of power failure.

3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.

What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.

3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have to buyand try a board to see if it fixes it or not.

4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.If set is opened at least look for puffed up and bad caps like in thisphoto.

If set is opened look on power board for puffed up caps like these that are bad.

sound like you might have blown a fuse, or the power supply board is bad. if you can take the back off of the unit and check the fuse it is located right where the power comes into the unit, if that is good look at the power supply board and look at the caps in particular and see if they are bulged out like in the picture below, replace them and you will be all set...
