I have a nikon D50 with the original lense. I have a battery that has been tested and works fine. when I put it into the camera the camera recognizes it there by telling me how much space i have on the small LCD screen on the top. but when I put the camera into the on position nothing chappends. I have cleaned the connectors in the camera nad battery and it worked for ten minutes. made sure the sd card worked fine and was right. Then the camera shut off. I cant seem to get it to read the fully charged batter to the camera long enough to take pictures.. any one having this issue or do they know what the part is that has to be replaced for the internal battery connectors?

Do you mean the camera can't works well with your new Nikon D50 battery? But how about your original battery. Maybe your new battery is not so compatible with your camera so the camera can't recognizes the whole information on the Nikon D50 battery chips.

Nikin D50 autofocus

I figured out that when changing lenses my finger must have hit the little switch and flipped it over to manual focus. I changed it back and it now works. Thanks.
