The Fujitsu Amilo Pro V1000 has a maximum RAM storage capacity of 1024MB (1GB), so if you purchased a 1024MB RAM module then that is the maximum you can install so just remove the old RAM module from the expansion slot at the bottem of the laptop and insert the new one there. You can find the user manual for the Fujitsu Amilo Pro V1000 here. Just click download now. Memory replacement is mentioned on pg57. The other RAM slot is most probably beneath the keyboard as is the case on most loaptops that have 2 RAM expansion slots. To get to this you will need to remove the under-plate of the laptop by removing a few screws. Once this is removed you will have access to the screws holding the keyboard in place. Remove the keyboard screws and then remove the keyboard to reveal the second RAM expansion slot.
If you are not a seasoned veteran at electronics and such then I suggest you get a qualified PC technician to do this as one slip-up can damage the laptop.
