Dishwasher LG Dishwasher does not turn on suddenly. No power. I have checked power cord and it is good.

There is a fuse on power unit, that should be tested first, check also a different outlet.

Check whether the product is turned on. I Try another channel. The problem may be with the broadcast. I Is the power cord inserted into wall power outlet? I Check your antenna direction and/or location. I Test the wall power outlet, plug another product's power cord into the outlet where the product's power cord was plugged in. try to check the power source of your tv. the ac power cord that connects at the back of your tv if have the same power cord try to replace it.

it may not be the spring it could be the cord it connects to you can check this by removing left or right hand side panels which will expose the hinge.good luck

Before you suspect the dishwasher, check the circuit that supplies power to it.

Determine if the DW's power is provided by a cord that plugs into a wall outlet or not. If the power is supplied through a wall outlet, unplug the dishwasher and plug in something like a light or a vacuum cleaner and turn on. It it comes on, then the problem is inside the dish washer.

If the power is provided through a direct connection from the circuit breaker, go to the circuit breaker box and track down which kitchen circuit ~may~ have tripped.

If the problem is inside the DW, solving that problem is not trivial and requires some special knowledge. If you investigate on your own, be 100% certain that the power has been removed from the DW for your safety.

1. No power to the dishwasher
Make sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

2. Door switch
Replace if defective.

3. Timer
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

4. Selector switch
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

The problem with the dishwasher acting haunted is probably the main controller card. If you don;t have an extended waranty, know that LG will cover the parts for free through 24 months but after 12 months, the labor will be charged.

with your volt/ohm meter check for power going to the dishwasher. the power supply is located under the kick panel. the power wire may be shorted out due to poor installation. if you are not comfortable testing power, I would advise calling a professional. If no power is found at the power box (this has a power cord or electrical wire going to it) the problem lies within your house electric. if 120 volts is present, check for power @ the door switch. aftrer that you just need to follow the power wire and see where it stops
If this is a newly built house and new to you the builder may have put a light switch above your counter ,the one you didn't think went to anything, check for that! good luck with it!

Some of the LG LDS5811 had problems with the wiring harness in the door panel. This is nothing to mess with unless you have disconnected the DW from power.
You can open the door panel by removing the screws around the inside edge of the DW. Or, better yet, firmly but politely contact LG service and tell them you are aware of LDS5811 dishwashers having these symptoms being caused by _melting_ wires in inside the door panel. This is true and even if the DW is out of warranty, LG should fix this problem at no cost to you.
