How can i perform a factory restore on my emachine w3619 without my start up disk..my computer will not load my sims 3 game and it used to be able to i tried everything (including system restore) to fix it

ask emachines for duplicate dvds of your startup disks.
your os is Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic
any copy of that would work, but you wouldn't have the cyberlink or other software

before doing that
you may first try checking for viruses or startup programs
and then reinstalling any game software

maybe your sims is broken. verify that it works on another machine

F11. every manufacturer has a magic little button to push. E-Machines uses F11. When it first starts up, press F11. There won't be a prompt for it, just keep tapping the F11 key until it asks if you want to do a system restore. it should bring you to a factory restore utility. Don't forget to back up all you data first. When you do the restore, it erases all your saved data.

  1. 1 Place the recovery disk that came with the eMachines computer into the CD or DVD drive. Restart the computer.
  2. 2 Click "Next" when the operating system restoration screen appears. Click "Repair Your Computer" and then select "Next."
  3. 3 Locate your eMachine's current operating system in the list of available operating systems, such as "Windows Vista." Click the appropriate choice and then choose "Next."

How do i reboot my windows vista without a disk my computer is a emachines

you could try a recovery partition if it has one, but other than that you will need the cd, if you prchased it from a retailer you can contact emachines directly and have them send you the CD, they are supposed to per contract with Microsoft. Sony got into a lot of trouble for not giving customers the install CD
