Hello I'm not sure exactly what is the size jack on your unit but if you know, you can chose any of the following on at http://www.tvps.com/Departments/Telephone-Recording/Telephone-Recording-Adapters.aspx

I want to hook up my CD-BA2100 to my Inspiron 6000 laptop but i don't know how to hook it up or what to use.

The SHARP CD-BA2100 is a "stand-alone" cassette/CD/AM/FM player.

Its manual states that it can accept left/right stereo audio output, such as from your laptop, if you purchase the correct adapter cable (from "line-out" or "head-phones-out" on your laptop):

Video/Auxiliary (Audio signal) input

To listen to or record signals from external sources through this unit:
1 Use a separately available RCA cord to connect the desired external unit to the VIDEO/AUX jacks. (red ® right channel, white ® left channel) * When using video equipment (Laser Disc player or VCR), be sure to connect the audio output to this unit, and the video output to a television.
2 Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on.
3 Press the VIDEO/AUX button.
4 Operate the external unit.
5 To record the sound from the external unit ...

i.e., you can use it as the speakers for your laptop, instead of the laptop's tiny, built-in, speakers.

Hi,

If your are going to install the dvd recorder into your other device, follow this few steps.

  1. Place your external DVD Multi-Recorder drive in the stand. Otherwise, lay it down horizontally if you're not going to be using the stand.
  2. Turn on device.
  3. Plug one end of the USB cable into one of the dvr USB ports. Then connect the other end into the external DVD Multi-Recorder drive.
  4. Plug the power cord into the AC adapter. Then connect the cord into the drive's jack. Connect the other end into the power outlet.

Hope this helps

I lost the power cord to my external hard drive.

Hi annabel_nyc,

You need to make sure that you get a compatible power adapter for that model. Most of Acomdata external drives use a 12v adapter, but not all. If you plug the wrong voltage into the drive, you do have the possiblity of frying your external. I'd check with your manual or post back your model number so I can look that adapter up.

Good Luck

Will not work connected to telephone using adaptor

This recorder is designed to be used on analog phone lines with the included adapter. If you have a digital type phone system it will not work by plugging it into the wall jack. It may even damage the recorder.

To record YOUR calls you need the handset adapter which hooks in between the handset and your phone then patches into the recorder.

You can get one at SpyGadgets.com

Telephone recording

Yeah, um connect it to a phone in a room that is normally isolated from traffic. Not an ideal solution but as it is a machine and has only an external mic (it doesn't have an internal mic does it?) this is the only solution really, remove all noise except phone conversations.
