You must first make sure that the files are indeed good. Install VLC (which doesn't needs external codecs)

and try to play the wma files with it. If it fails then the files are corrupted. If it works then either the codec pack has been removed - reinstall it from

or the files were coded in a format Easywma can't support - like the lossless and voice one, or with DRM. If it's the last case then configure the recorders accordingly.

Excellent response, was able to check files in VLC program which proved playable (non corrupt) so then installed new Flipmac (i'm assuming that's what a codec pack is) from your link and tested a wma file again in my conversion program which is easyWMA and no more red dots! Flipmac was the software needed to recode those files so easyWMA easily then converted and dropped files into iTunes! Thank you!
Excellent response! VLC played the WMA files perfectly so went to download the Flipmac program from your link and that re-coded the files so my software converter (easyWMA) could read them again. No more red dots! WHEW! Thanks so much for your info!
