Go to the camera section and give it a try since hardware sometimes have the same drivers for vista and 7

I believe you downgraded the Operating System from Windows 7. If that so, Lenovo Warranty support will no longer support the Operating System that you install on that computer. There will be a possibility also that the Operating System that you install will not be compatible with the machine itself.This is the exact link where you can dowload the drivers for you machine not only for the graphic and sound driver but all the drivers designated for the machine with Windows XP Operating System -

2. Restart the laptop.

3. Download the sound driver.

sounds like a compatability problem.check with microsoft.

You could find what audio chipset your computer is using, and try on their site.
Look at your computers specs. or use a program like PC Wizard to find them for you
