A lot of times there is a hole in the side of the head to insert a rod into so the head doesnt spin..now all you have to do is figure whitch way it turns as some a left hand thread

Remove string cap and tighten nut or you will have to hold shaft just above string head with pliers and turn head by hand till tight.

the trimmer head is a left hand thread
make like you are doing it up to undo it
remove all the trimmer parts down to a shaft then fit the plastic blade attachment
Had the same problem: when I turn on the trimmer, the motor would hum but the blades won't move. What I did: 1. Sprayed a ton of wd40 between the blades 2. Took a screwdriver and kinda wedged it between the blades to get them unstuck. Also removed some guck between the blades. And it worked!
First, i will take that the rope is in the front. If so, you will need to remove trimmer shaft,throttle assembly, so you will be able to remove starter housing.
Go to homelite.com then click on service and support, then click order parts then click launch homelite parts catalog, Agree to terms then click continue under model no type in mightylite then find you trimmer in list.
Use a large pair of pliers to hold the turning metal ring above the T35 trimmer head. I used a medium-sized pair of Channel Lock pliers. Then, turn the trimmer head counter-clockwise and it should unscrew from the mount. There's no need to open the trimmer head for this operation. Then, follow the parts diagram in the trimmer user manual to install the blade parts in the right order.
If you go to www.homelite.comin the red area up top click on order parts then click - click to launch homelite parts catalog, then scroll down thru agreement and click agree and then you will need to know your model number and you can get a breakdown of your trimmer wich will give you a good idea of how your machine is put together.
