I am trying to open my enginus wireless configuration by enetring username and password as admin by it is not accepting it. It might have been changed. what to do.

You can access the wifi password through your router configuration page.If you are not aware to open you router configuration page, Follow this.
1. Open command prompt2. Type ipconfig and press enter3.You would have a list of information in which you can find the default gateway in the adapter list.4. This is your router's IP address5.Type the ip address in your browser and hit enter (For example : http://192.168.2.1)6.You would be directed to router's configuration page.7. Login to access ur router's configuration8. Go to wireless security options where you can reset or have your wifi password
P.s : If you do not remember your username and password for configuration login, Try for default ones such as Admin/Admin or Admin/*Blank*.Else You can refer to your router's manual for configuration username and password.

Open your browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL.

Are you speaking about the wireless network password?
For this you will need to access the setup page of the router?
Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable.
open the setup page of the router.
Go to wireless tab and change the wireless settings.
If you want to change the ' Router ' password then go to administration tab and change the router password.

Try to reset the router using a paper clip, then try to re-log in to the router with the IP address, If you are still unable to log in , try log as admin as the username and password as admin or admin on the username and password is password.

Flip over your ACTIONTEC and you would see there the default wep key. If you've had it personalized before, you have to open the configuration page of your modem and check for the wep key.

To go to the configuration page, open your internet explorer and type in 192.168.1.1 on the address bar. that is the default address for your actiontec. type in your username and password when prompted. the usual default it ADMIN for username and PASSWORD (lowercase) for password. or you could also try ADMIN (uname)-ADMIN(pword).

click on the wireless settings icon and then click on basic security settings. scroll down on the middle of the page and you will see there your wep key.

if you are unable to open the configuration page because you forgot your username and password, you can reset your modem so that it the uname and password will go back to its factory default settings (admin/password). However, if you are using pppoe connection (authentication using username and password to connect to network) you can lose your connection and you would have to configure your router. so be careful not to press the reset button at the back.

Hi the username and password for the router has been changed while the previous configuration.If you can call your service providor they should be able to provide the same.There are other some common usernames and passwords which you can try.

*******Alternatively you can also try to reset the router to its default settings by pressing the reset button at the back of the router(however this should be the last step of action).

Try to turn off your modem first before trying to open the router's setup page. By default, there's no username and the password is admin. Also turn off any firewall you have.

If it has wireless then its probably on, you just have to configure it.

you can access the configuration page, by opening internet explorer and typing in the address bar 192.168.1.1
it will ask for a username and a password try admin as the username, and for the password try "admin" or "password".

you should be able to configure wireless from the page that opens up.

next you need to configure wireless on your computer, which can be done by:

1. click on start
2. click on run
3. type ncpa.cpl
4. right-click wireless local area connection
5. click on view available wireless networks
6. and connect to your network

Open a browser

type 192.168.1.1 in hte address line, press enter

you should get a prompt for a username/password

Leave username blank

Password admin

this should get you to the firmware configuration.

If you can't access the router, press and hold the reset button on the back for 5 seconds with the point of a pen, then try again.

Do the following: on your computer open internet explorer, in the address window type the IP of the router "example" http://192.168.2.1 your router IP should be on the bottom of the router. If not click start/run, type ipconfig at the > the router ip is listed at "default gateway".once you get to the routers logon page enter one of the following: username "leave blank" – username " admin " -or- username "admin" - password 1234 –or- leave password field blank. once logged on the router you can make your configurations.
