Ive connected my belkin device to may desktop. Now im trying to connect my ipad to my modem or the belkin..but getting no where lol Ipad finds the modem but say 'unable to join the network'. Any ideas regards Jason

Which belkin device have you connected to your desktop? The ipad will be looking for a wireless network to connect to. So you will need a wireless router to allow it to connect, also the modems ethernet cable needs to plugged into the wireless router and IF you have the modem connected directly to the pc to allow it to connect to the internet , then you need to connect a lead FROM the router to the PC

Use the lead for your iPad and plug the sub into your pc. Then go to your desktop and click on your computer settings and go to connections and click on the port showing your connected iPad, im not sure if that will work. But worth a try!

can you connect screen I see in right side of your photo to vga output on laptop and use FN + F5 to switch windows output to secondary VGA device. IPad should connect to Wi Fi but not to Laptop.
Is the router wi fi if it is not plug laptop into ethernet port via cat5 ethernet cable . Do you have a DSL modem you need one to hook up DSL and then Ethernet cable to Router. Also DSL filters are needed on Phones or faxes .

Ipad and beikin keyboard
You will need to enable bluetooth on your iPad and then pair the keyboard to the iPad. Try the following:

  • On your iPad, tap the settings icon from the Home Screen.
  • Tap on General.
  • Tap on Bluetooth.
  • Toggle Bluetooth to On
  • Turn on the Belkin keyboard.
  • The keyboard will show up under Devices on the iPad.
    Select Belkin Bluetooth Keyboard.
  • A code will appear on the screen.
    Enter this code on the keyboard and click Enter.

A message will pop up when pairing is successful. If pairing fails, repeat the steps above. If you're still unable to pair the two leave a comment and I will help further troubleshoot.

Your iPAd should see your wireless network like other devices do. Does your iPad not prompt you to connect to your home network? If it does you should enter your wireless pass key manually on your iPad.

If you have a 3G phone in the house, It operates at the same frequency and is a nono.

If not I would suggest you completley rest modem and re-enter U/N, P/W etc and set up secure network also. If still a problem, maybe faulty modem.
