My Whirlpool super capacity 2 speed 7 cycle washing machine filter is dirty because it makes marks on clothing. Any suggestions on how to fix this please. Thanks Regards George

Hi, sometimes even after cleaning the filter dirt remains in the machine. The best thing that can help solve this problem is to buy a descaling powder for washing machine (available at supermarkets or hardware store) and follow the instructions on the box or packet, this will take awhile as you will have to stop the cycle by turning the power off when the machine is full of water (with no clothing in it) and then restart the cycle, (about 2 hours). Descaling is necessary as the soap powder attaches itself on the rear of the rotating drum and cannot be seen and some dirt(streaks) will appear on the washed clothing. Hope this helps. All the best.

Need a descaler

instractions are from manual HD7810/00

Use the correct descaling agent
Only citric acid-based descalers are suitable for descaling the SENSEO
machine. This
type of descaler descales the machine without damaging it. For the correct amount,
see under 'Descaling procedure' below. Each descaling mixture can be used only once.
After use, the descaling mixture is no longer active.
We advise you to use the special SENSEO
Descaler (HD7012/HD7011/HD7006).
Read the instructions on the package of the descaling agent.
Never use a descaling agent based on mineral acids such as sulphuric acid,
hydrochloric acid, sulphamic acid and acetic acid (e.g. vinegar). These descaling
agents may damage your SENSEO

coffee machine.
Descaling procedure
1 Mix 50 grams of citric acid with 1 litre of water in a measuring jug. Stir until
the powder is completely dissolved.
2 Fill the water reservoir up to the MAX indication with the descaler mixture.
Then put the water reservoir back into the coffee machine. (Fig. 3)
Note: Not all SENSEO
machine types have a water reservoir with a capacity of
1 litre. If you have a SENSEO

machine with a smaller water reservoir, repeat steps
2 to 6 with the remainder of the mixture without filling the water reservoir up to
the MAX indication.
3 Press on/off button 3. (Fig. 10)
The machine is ready for use when the indicator light lights up continuously.
4 Place the 1-cup holder h with a used coffee pod in it in the coffee machine.
Close the lid and make sure it is properly locked.
Note: Always put a used coffee pod in the pod holder when you descale the
machine. This pod serves as a 'filter' to prevent the sieve or hole in the pod holder
from getting clogged with scale residue.
5 Put a bowl with a capacity of at least 1500ml under the spout to collect the
descaling mixture (Fig. 8).
6 Press the 2-cup button hhand let the machine operate. Repeat this until
the water reservoir is empty. (Fig. 25)
Never interrupt the descaling process!
7 Repeat steps 1 to 6. Replace the used pod with another used pod to filter out
the scale residue.
Note: To descale properly, you have to use 2 litres of descaling mixture.
Never descale the SENSEO
coffee machine with the lid open. Make sure the lid is
properly locked.
8 Rinse the water reservoir with tap water. Fill the water reservoir up to the
MAX indication with tap water and repeat steps 3 to 6.
Note: Do not refill the water reservoir with used hot water or the used descaling
mixture.
9 Fill the water reservoir with fresh tap water up to the MAX indication again
and repeat steps 3 to 6 once more.
Note: Always rinse the machine by letting it empty two full water reservoirs.
10 Remove the used pad and clean the pod holder after descaling to prevent the
sieve or hole in the centre from getting clogged.

Dear Madam, dear Sir, I tried four times to descale my coffee machine with Philips Senseo Descaler; nevertheless, the "calc" lamp is still on. What else can I make? With cordial...

Hi. Sounds like a sencor is faulting. Try unplugging it from the power for a few minutes, then start it back up. If you dont have water coming out the your boiler maybe blocked. Id need more information to suggest anything else. Dazza REPAIRER

I have cleaned my senseo , but the red light still is on. what do i do next?

Do not turn off the machine until all 4 cycles are complete (2 descaling & 2 rinsing ). The machine will then switch itself off. This is not properly explained in the instruction booklet.

Ran descale program and coffee still tastes funny (bitter)

If you are using a Claris filter, please remove this from the watertank. The descaling agent will clog the filter and make the water taste bad. After descaling, also be sure to rinse the watertank so there`s no resedue of the solvent left in the tank.

However, bitter taste on the coffe usually is related to the coffee side; Try to run a cleaning program. And check grinder settings. If the powder is to fine, it will increase the contact time, and that will make the coffee bitter. My advise is to clean the machine and experiment a little with the grinder settings.

Good luck!

Hello , I got a present of a Saeco Royal Professional without an instruction booklet . The machine tells me it needs a descale . Can you please advise as to how . Many thanks , Sean Kavanagh

Hi
Auto descale: To automatically descale your machine, press the scoop button and hold it down until you enter the menu. Use the arrows on the left to scroll down until you come to "Descale". Press enter and the machine will enter the mode to descale your machine. The process takes about 45 minutes. You don't have to do a thing except mix a full water tank with descaling solution and have a container under the steam wand when your start. If you have a cappuccinonatori on your machine you will need two containers. To start the descaling process simply turn the steam knob. When the process is over your machine will say "descale finished". Remove your water tank and rinse it out. Refill it with fresh water. Replace on the machine and close the steam knob then open it again to rinse your machine. When its done exit the descale mode and go to the "Reset descale" just under it and enter. Choose "Yes" and push the enter button to accept. It will tell you when it needs to be descaled again.
If you want to make your machine last a long time, go to the water hardness in the menu and change your water hardness to the #4 and always push the enter button if you want to make your changes permanent. If you don't, no changes will be made and it will still be the same when you exit.

How much decalcifier do I use. Doesn't say on the bottle. Thanks

Hi Use 1 oz. for every 32oz of water. There is a program in your machine for descaling. Select it and open knob in front once you have the powder disolved. When you have finished go to the menu that says "reset descale" and choose "yes". Then set your water hardness in your menu to 4, and your machine will tell you when it needs to be descaled again.
