A cutting sound like its interrupting or more like a high Pitch sound more like squeeking?
*if its interrupting, you might need to stop anything else whyle running your DVD (ie: internet, downloading, uploading, or anything else means your memory is being used with something else.
*if its high pitch or squeeking, check your microphone's Volume from your volume options by double clicking on your volume icon on your lower right side and either minimize or muteyour mic.

try fiddling with the tv menu. most tvs have the zoom function now and also the ratio function. try testing those configurations starting from the default. make sure you have the zoom function set at 0 before fiddling with the ratio aspect.

You can check already the audio setting in your dvd software maybe the volume is low or mute. Click Start, accessories,entertainment and volume control adjust the volume to higher or look if the volume is mute

If DIGITAL sign blink, this mean DSP board is defective. It will cut the sound on the AMP section. DSp is maybe defective.
