Did you get this working in the end? Was it just blown output transistors? I have one with same fault.

in the service manual there is a fault reset procedure which powers the amp up to check for output faults. It switches back off of it detects a fault.

You could have speaker wires shorted, putting unit in output shutdown. check them. Turn unit on and listen very closely for about 5-6 seconds for a click (the relay for okay output condition). If not heard, have unit serviced or check for blown output fuse. Of course they don't blow without a reason.

you will need the copy of point of sale. i/e the cash register sales ticket then contact the manufacture, and request the unit to be returned, if that unit is new out of the box, well you will have 100% warranty.

Hello.You have shorted audio outputs. One of your channels has shorted output transistors. If your unit uses output ICs then one of them is shorted. Both types ( individual transistors or ICs ) are located on the large finned heat sink. The parts are available from http:\\www.tritronicsinc.com. good luck

Disconnect the audio output IC from the board an listen to hear if the output relay click, if it does the audio output is faulty replace it..

The unit is in protect mode. This effectively shuts off the output amplifier section. This happens because a problme is detected in the output section. This unit will require service. Most likely the output transistors have failed. Figure on $20-$40 for parts plus the local labor rate for repair cost.

The unit is shutting itself off because it has detected a problem in the output stage. In many cases the problem is in the front end. That front end stage is allowing some DC current to pass on to the output stage. DC on the outputs is bad. This unit requires service. Expect a parts cost in the range of $10-$20. Add in the local labor rate for the total repair cost.

This is generally caused by using the wrong switched output. If the head unit has both a power antenna control output AND an amp control output, you need to use the amp control output to feed the remote turn-on input on the amp. On head units that have both types of outputs, the power antenna output goes off when you switch from radio to a source that doesn't need the antenna.
