Samsung 61 inch DLP Has a strobe light affect

check the lamp and make sure it isnt bad. are there any odd noises when it trys to turn on? it could be a color wheel failure 2 dmd failures would be very odd.

Sounds more like the TV is overheating. The lamp cooling fan may be seized or not spinning fast enough. If the TV gets hot enough to trip the thermal, it could rupture the lamp.

REPLACE LAMP

I have a DLP Samsung 61 inch. It has verticial curved wave lines, these lines seem to move. like it's not on the station good. (These lines are not black, but almost white in color.) All my other TV's in the same house, using the same sat. dish have good pictures. Could you tell me my problem and what part to look for. Thanks

it is configurable in the menu options. if you change there and goes back to how it was then you are probly in shop mode.

This sounds to me like one of two possibilities. First, check your ballast. If you're going through bulbs faster than you think you ought to be, you may have a ballast that is overloading. Its the 3" x 8" circuit board that connects directly to the bulb. They are plentiful and often cheap. Thats what I'd try first. If that doesnt' do it, I would invest in a new power supply board. That the board that the tv power cable hooks directly in to. This should give you a start, Comment back if you still need further help. Good luck.

all 3 lights blinking means lamp has a fault the service manual says replace the lamp. If you need the service training manual for that model let me know and I will post the link as the training manual has excellent trouble shooting breakdowns for that model DLP
