NO... check and see if all 4 bolts on bottom of stand are tight. IF it is tilted and tight, remove the stand from the internal slide, re install. Sometimes it gets lodged behind the proper mounting point.

To transport a loewe spheros 42 plasma unit with rotating stand does the tv unit detach from the stand? I understand that the plasma tv should be transported in an upright position only is this true?

Yes, it should be transported in upright position.
When we moved, our moving company arranged a crating company to crate our Spheros unit. They built a crate around the TV and secured it in an upright position along with the rotating stand. They then put a tilt sensor (you get the serial number of the tilt sensor) to make sure that the moving people don't tilt the crate. They also un-crate it at your destination. The only problem is that the TV is already quite heavy to begin with (~180 lbs), and with the crate, it becomes almost impossible for the movers move it in perfect upright position....though our movers really tried hard.

How do I adjust the stand

The stand does tilt the TV forward but you can adjust it. Remove the entire stand bracket from the back of the TV with a philips head screwdriver (6 screws). Then use a 1/2" wrench to loosen the two adjustment bolts on the wings. Straighten the angle on the wings, retighten the bolts, and reinstall the bracket. Then the TV will stand straight up.

Sanyo DP19649 - how od I unlock the stand pivot so

Sorry you can not pivot the table stand on the tv. If it is a wall mount can you give model # and make. Or you can look in back of the tv and you should see the pivot point in the center of the bracket that holds it to the wall.

DYNEX DX-L42-10A - WHERE IN THE H*** IS THE POWER PLUG IN ON THE REAR OF THE FLAT SCREEN TV

Looking at the back of the TV to the left of the stand you'll find the receptacle for the power cord. They placed it under the flat of the ledge. Like the audio/video connections they are well sutied for wall mounting as the won't be sticking out requireing more space for mounting. On the down side it maks it difficult to see where to connect them with out tilting the set over on it's face or getting lower than the ledge to see or read the connection points.

Can't remove stand

there should be a something that you need to push in at the back of the stand that connects to the tele. Someone needs to push it in hard while someone else tilts the tele forward and up or back and up depending on which way the push in part goes. (Presuming this is a flatscreen tv)
