If they get stuck in the back, you could have a bad fuser.
If paper comes out the back and goes up towards the delivery assembly and then
starts to fan fold...the delivery assembly needs to be cleaned or replaced.
When you print the paper comes out the back of the printer thru the fuser and
up towards the delivery assembly and then into the exit tray. those are the rollers at the very top of the printer, in the back that need cleaning or replacing. A little alcohol on a cloth works pretty good.

Paper is stuck/jammed on the drum and I am having difficulty removing the d rum unit and toner

Hi lbestu,

Please Read Tip Carefully :-

Tip: To manually remove paper pull on the paper with both hands being careful not to tear the paper while pulling it. If you're unable to get to an edge of the paper that allows you to pull it you may need to manually rotate the gears that feed the paper through the printer.

1.Turn off the printer.
2.Inspect the location or tray the printed paper ejects to. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.
3.Remove all paper trays and any paper that may be stuck between the tray and the printer. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.
4.Open the printer door that allows you access to the printer ink cartridges or toner and look for any stuck paper. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it
5.Turn the printer back on. If you continue to receive a printer jam error try repeating the above steps again. If issue still persist and you see no paper that is stuck in the printer it's likely your printer is experiencing another hardware issues and we suggest contacting the printer manufacturer for additional assistance or repair

Preventing a printer paper jam
As mentioned earlier it is inevitable that you will encounter at least one paper jam during the life of your printer. However, if you're encountering frequent paper jams following the below steps can help prevent paper jams from occurring.

  • If your printer has a paper tray do not fill the tray to capacity. If you're encountering frequent paper jams reduce the amount of paper you place in the tray each time it is filled.
  • Make sure you or the tray feeding the paper into the printer is aligned properly and/or the slider used to hold the paper in place in the tray is snug with the paper. Many printers have sliders that allow different types and sizes of paper to be fed into the printer. If the slider is not properly positioned it can cause paper jams.
  • Use standard office paper; folded paper, paper with labels, and specialty paper such as hard bound paper can often cause paper jams. If you're uncertain with what type of paper you should use with your printer your printer documentation will list the types of paper compatible with your printer.
  • Do not mix the types of paper you're feeding into the printer at one time. If you need to change the type of paper or size of paper being used removed any other paper currently in the printer before inserting the new paper.
  • Examine the printer for any previous stuck paper in the printer. Previous paper jams, torn paper, printing labels or other foreign objects in the printer can cause reoccurring printer jams.

Red light stays on, and nothing prints. won't recogonize paper in tray???

Depending on how long you have had this , it might be time for a new one. If its still under warranty, rather send it back as it could be a problem inside.

First do a couple of test.
Turn the Printer off and back on?
Reinstall the software for the printer?
Paper **** under the toner drum? Dont touch the green drum!!!
Pull toner out and reinsert
On the top side above the toner were the paper feed's after printing. Is there a paper jam?
Did you replace the toner with a "compatible" toner? If so the printer does not recognize the cartridge thus another reason for the red light?

if you have had your ML 2510 for longer than 2 years and 4 Toners. This is a good time to invest in another ML 2510 Printer. They are cheap and dont break up the bank's money printer to get.

I hope you find help with this.

Dell 3000CN Laser Priner

Removed the fuser unit and also removed the left hand side panel to access the gearing mechanism.

Manually rotated the gearing a number of times thru 360 degress. This appears to have cleared whatever was causing the printer to detect a paper jam although there was no obvious sign of bits of paper or even dust build up.

Samsung SCX-4521 "Paper Jam 2" won't clear

Hi there have you tried the door at the back of the machine as there maybe a piece stuck in the fuser unit. If not open the back door and check that there is a small black lever in the middle of the two rollers sticking up as this is the sensor arm that determines that there is a paper jam or not. If this is still there then the paper will be stuck just after the paper cassette within the paper path.

Hope this helps you.

Doesn't Print - Says "Paper Jam"

That is the problem, machine will show printer jam if paper feed rollers fail to pick up paper when requested, your machine sounds like it needs new paper feed roller or you can clean the paper feed roller with a slightly! damp cloth.

If no jam light shows when power is turn on and machine comes to ready and then you send a job to printer and it then shows jam then it is the feed roller or sometimes the feed clutch

If on the other hand it always show jam then there is or a switch is stuck.
