I just purchased an RCA RT2906 home theater system and am experiencing audio delay when switching channels on my Verizon FIOS cable box. It takes 3 or 4 seconds for the audio to kick in each time I switch channels. I am using HDMI cables. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Martin

You can try using an optical cable but you will likely run into the same issue. Each time you change the channel the digital stream is interrupted. The HT likely takes this long to start the decode process.

I have a Verizon FIOS DVR connected to the Samsung receiver. After watching TV for a period of about 30 minutes or so I start to get a delay in the volume coming out of the speakers compared to the picture...

common problem, trouble is that the receiver cant keep up with the dvr box. try this, dont use audio from your dvr into your reciever, take the audio out from the tv, and go into the receiver, now the sound is after the picture and should catch up with itself.

My RT2906 sound keeps cutting in and out. It works fine on some channels and worse on others.

Wonder if this is the same problem that the RTD325 has. It's a shame that RCA Service acknowledges only 2 complaints on the 325. Walmart is still selling the 325 as of Feb 24, 2010

Am i getting hdtv with just cable feed?

Depending on your cable provider, some of the HD channels may be present. If so, these are ususally located in the upper channel numbers. It sounds like you are receiving some of the HD lineup. A cable box will probably allow you to view more HD channels including the premium HD channels if you subscribe to them. You should not be noticing a delay with the HD channels only. If this is what you are experiencing without a cable box, then it would be an issue with the HD tuner built into your TV set. LG customer service can let you know if there are any software updates available for yourmodel that can resolve this. Additionally, if you are getting your sound from an Home Theater system then you will notice an echo if using the TV's built in speakers at the same time. This is sometimes mistaken as an audio delay. If you are using a home theater system, be sure to disable the speakers that are built into your system.

Make sure the TV is set to output audio to the digital optical port. Then make sure you have selected the proper output mode on the home theatre. Unplug the optical cable from the back of the home theatre and see if the red laser is on (don't shine it in your eyes! :))

How to use DVD player along with cable box wih this tv

The audio out jacks in the back of the cable box can support up to 5.1 channels of audio to a home theater system. Take the DVD player and plug it into the TV with only the video cable and the audio cables into the theater syste. If you have and questions you can ask and if pictures are needed than I can post them.
