I have a Kenwood KDC-MP232 cd player and the CA-C1aux adapter plugged in the cd changer port to make it an aux cord but when I press source the only things that come up are tuner, cd, standby but no aux option. How do I get the Aux option to work on my deck? I heard I have to activate it but there is no option in any of the menus about aux. Please help me get my aux to work on my deck.

SOURCE: My deck doesnt have aux as a source

I enabled the AUX as a source by pressing and holding the menu button (located to the left of the volume knob) then pressing the control knob up till I found the AUX options and put it on AUX2 so I wouldn't hear the audio feedback.

SOURCE: turn aux on on kenwood kdc-mp205

In order to access the AUX option the stereo needs to be in Standby mode. To do this just hit the SRC or source button until you reach the Standby option. Now hit the menu button and scroll up or down until you reach the AUX on/off option and just turn it on. Hope you find this helpful.

Does this radio come with an AUX jack? I'm try to conect Sirrus radio.

It does NOT have an Aux Out port.

It would require an adapter that goes in the CD Changer port instead.

I can't play my iphone on my kenwood KDC-MP435U

Jennifer, I have the same issue. the problem is that the 2007+ generations of Kenwood receivers are not compatible with the iPhone. You will need to get a 2009+ series in order to use your iPhone with the head unit. I had the same issue with the Kenwood KDC-MP435U in my mustang. I am going to get a newer head unit that supports the iPhone. You cannot do it with the MP435U.

How do I enable the Auxillary option on my KDC-MP232 so I can play my MP3 player. I hooked it up using the aux. jacks in the back but it just played over the radio or cd player I do not know how to isolate...

when your car is on, turn the stereo off. you should be able to access a menu somehow when the stereo is off. in that menu, you should have the option to toggle the aux source on or off. simply switch it to on, then turn the sterreo back on, and hit the source button. it should now be ready to go.

Wiring diagram for a kenwood KDC MP232 to a 2003 chevy malibu

Aftermarket cd players are all universal and have the same colors. You need to go to your local car audio store such as walmart, bestbuy, ect and buy a wire harness adapter. Then all the wires are color coordinated to make it easy, just wire colored wires together and plug in. If I have helped please leave positive feedback. Thanks

Ipod

On the Kenwood models that are within about 6 or 7 years old or newer, there is an iPod adapter for the head units that plugs into the CD Changer port on the back of the radio. Kenwood makes an adapter (KCA-IP500) that gives direct control and charging through the radio and several companies make aux input adapters for Kenwood radios that will connect to the iPod's headphone jack.
