I have a new psp 3000. I can't get internet access. It finds the SSID, good reception=75%. WLAN on, but its saying "a connection error occurred. Connection point could not be established. Check...

Hi stagedoorste,
You may notice that sometimes connecting your PSP to your network seems like a hard thing to do. But if you're aware of the basic configuration you can say that it's not a complicated thing. If your experiencing hard time connecting to the internet please make sure to check on the error. Based on what you have mentioned it says that you need to check the security setting. You may try following the steps below for the basic configuration on how to connect your PSP to your router.
1. First step is to make sure to turn on your PSP as well as the wireless/WLAN switch. 2. Then Navigate to " Network Setting". 3. Select "Infrastructure Mode". 4. Now Select "New Connection" and Name this connection as you deem appropriate. 5. Navigate to "WLAN Settings" Select "Scan". 6. Your router should now be listed. 7. Please go to "WLAN Security Setting". If you did not select encryption in ROUTER SET-UP, then leave the option as "None" 8. But if you selected encryption in ROUTER SET-UP, then select the appropriate WEP, or WPA. 9. Then navigate to "Address Settings". Select "Easy" 10. Go to "Setting List". Verify that your settings are correct. 11. Navigate to the next screen and press X to save your settings. You should get a message that says "Save Completed. Test Connection". Press X. 12. You should get two quick display messages. The first should say "connecting to access point." The next should say "obtaining IP address".
From this point you already established a connection and using your PSP you can now browse the net.
Hope this information will be helpful.

Is it true that psp3004 is not yet game

If you have a WLAN connection then switch it on and turn on the 'WLAN' toggle switch in your PSP 3004. Then access PSP via the WLAN. There's a icon for Downloading games from the PSP. Open it and connect through the WLAN to the internet.

If you not have a WLAN then go to "http://www.freeforpsp.com/" or "http://in.playstation.com/psp/games/" from your PC Browser and just download and transfer it into your PSP's Memory card. Or buy a Game Disc.

Hope, i gave you much details.

Thanks n Regards

I cant get Internet Connection on my psp Pearl white. It said it timed out.

Hi aquiroga74,

Based on your concern, I suggest trying the following steps:

1. Turn your PSP on.

2. Make sure that your WLAN switch is turned on.

3. Perform a factory reset.
--> To do this, select "Settings", then select "Restore Default Settings". You will not lose any information or data by performing this step.

However, you may need to reset your wallpapers. Set your name, date, time, etc...

4. Power down your PSP then wait 10 seconds, then power it on.

5. Navigate to "Network Settings".

a. Select "Infrastructure Mode"

b. Select "New Connection" Name this connection as you deem appropriate.

c. Navigate to "WLAN Settings" Select "Scan".

d. Your router should now be listed.

e. Navigate to "WLAN Security Setting". If you did not select encryption in ROUTER SET-UP, then leave the option as "None"

f. If you selected encryption in ROUTER SET-UP, then select the appropriate WEP, or WPA..

g. Navigate to "Address Settings". Select "Easy"

h. Navigate to "Setting List". Verify that your settings are correct.

i. Navigate to the next screen and press X to save your settings. You should get a message that says "Save Completed. Test Connection". Press X.

j. You should get two quick display messages. The first should say "connecting to access point." The next should say "obtaining IP address".

Hope it helps,

WLAN network could be set to WEP security. Try to turn off your WLAN switch and try it again. If it happens, HARD boot your console.
