I have a Hoover SE 160E which stops mid cycle with the start and crease guard lights flashing. The washing machine seems to stop prior to the rinse cycle and the drum has been emptied of most of the water.i can manually put it on drain and spin cycle. it stops soon after i put in on a rinse or wash cycle Any suggestions to the fault, could do with a quick fix as my 8 month old is fast running out of bibs fast? The appliance is over 5 years old.

usually crease guard is a combination of hot and cold (warm depending on water temp and water pressures)

Hoover fast wash is generally a shorted time cycle of the normal washes

Have you checked the pump filter, and or that the pump is actually working. if it spins o/k with no water in, then I would suspect a draining problem.
If filter clean and pump o/k, then it could be a control module fault. if this were the case, then it would probably be wiser to purchase a new washer.
