C360 error: "Replace Image Transfer Belt Unit"

The error message under that title is "Have the image transfer belt replaced soon." It's a new unit, but resists doing the Gradation Adjust. Tried returning the old belt (which was working before the replacement) and error message remains, so apparently the problem is not with the new belt.

System Error Clear (System 1 -> Initialization) gives "Result: OK" but has no effect; the problem remains after machine restart. However, it does NOT at any time give L-5 error (Transfer belt unit accumulated rotation time excess warning), just continues to say "replace image transfer belt unit", and will not allow anything else to proceed. What am I missing? (Transfer belt clutch malfunction?

Ideally, you should replace your cyan image unit to ensure the best print quality but alternatively you can get the image unit chip replaced with another which costs far less than the cost of a new unit. That should solve your problem. But bear in mind that changing the chip alone is just at best temporary because soon you will be having to fight print quality problem.

Imaging units have a limited life span and sounds like yours is getting to the end of it. Sooner or later the printer will stop and demand image unit replacement.

this is a warning that the drum unit needs to be replaced soon, the printer will still work for a number of copys but quit if it reach a serchand number. There is only the way to change the drum unit.

image is normal wear to a certain number of units calculated according to the tehnic(user) manual .Se pages may continue to use the printer until you consider that the image you want to buy another unit or until you notice that not print correctly

Nancy, Your imaging unit has a limited lifecycle. Documentation states that it can make 24,000 B&W pages and 6,000 color. The message is telling you that you are getting close to that limit. Eventually you printer will stop printing, and your messahe will state "Replace imaging unit". This can be done by you. It is very easy to do. The imaging unit is fairly expensive: around $150 or more depending on the merchant and shipping charges.

The imaging unit is that whole assembly that the toners are plugged into inside the front door of your machine. It a consumable unit available at many office supply stores. The instructions to replace the unit are packed inside the box with the new unit.

there is no other option except this as this is the common problem in this types of printer and the company has not left any other option except this.that is to replace the imaging unit.
