I got a Hisense TV EN-30505A, my grandchild play with the remote and the child lock went off. I am unable to reset the TV and took of the child lock. Only a blue screen appear. I follow the advise to press menu button and while holding it in to unplug the TV and plug it in again but before I can do anything else the child lock comes on again.

    The model of the TV is TC2119U. It is a 54 cm coulor TV about 3 or 4 years old. I still use the original remote control. The menu button is on the side and under normal condition it give you all the options you needed but now it ain't do nothing when I press the button on either the remote control or the TV. The only when you turn on the computor it has a blue screen and written in read " Child Lock". Sorry for the previous model number it was the remote control's number.

    Thanks, I will wait patiently.

    OK, I sort it out. I will give you a short discription of the remote: Left upper corner- Mute (green), Right upper corner -Power on/off(Red), then follows numbers 1-9 in 3rows, under the 7 (-/--), under the 8 the 0, under the 9- ALT, In the center a green buttun- MENU surrounded by VOL UP on the right, Vol down left, CH up top and CH down bottom, On top of VOL down button (Picture), on to of VOL up button (P.MODE), under the VOL down button (SYS) and under the VOL up button (CALL). The last button is on the left under SYS button and is the TV?AV button(Red). What I did was I switch the TV off with the remote and then I switch the TV off as well. Then I unplugged the TV and leave it for about 1 minute. I then plugged it in again and switch it on , TV first then remote. The CHILD LOCK came on again. I then Press the CALL button and hold it in for about 10 seconds and the unlock message appear. I then have to search for the channels again on the menu. Thanks for the help, I hope the info I provide you with will help someone else in future.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, I'm going to need some further information from you to answer your question. I think the model number you provided is actually the model number of the Hisense remote control and not the model number of the TV. The correct model number should be located on a sticker on the back of the TV. Please can you check this and correct if necessary. I'm not saying you are wrong, but I cannot find any existence of TV model number EN-30505A.

This is where it gets a little confusing. If that is the model number of the remote control then you should be able to disable the childlock by pressing the lock/unlock button on the remote . . .

Please can you reply to me with the following information:

1. The model number of the TV;
2. Do you have the original Hisense remote and is it working?
3. The approximate age of the TV (to assist with identification in the absence of a model number);
4. The brand and model number of any remote you are using with this TV;
5. Is there a MENU button on the front or side of the TV and does it open the on-screen menu?
6. Is there a MENU button on any remote you are using and does it open the on-screen menu?
7. How did you engage the childlock? (if known)

If you can let me know these details, hopefully I will be able to solve your problem. You should note that some Hisense TVs can only be unlocked with the original Hisense remote. It is possible to lock and unlock them from a universal remote, but unlocking them this way is dependent on remembering which buttons were pressed to lock it. Obviously this isn't possible if it was done accidentally/unknowingly!

Regards,
BElectric.

    No problem - I thought it was the remote number, but I couldn't match it to a specific model of TV. Thanks for all the details. I don't need to know anything else. As you have the original remote and it's working, unlocking shouldn't be a problem. I just need to check a couple of things. I will get back to you shortly. BElectric

    My apologies - there is an ongoing technical fault at FixYa which prevents me writing more than a couple of lines. I will try again now. It it doesn't work, I will break it into small chunks.

    OK. It's easier getting information on the currents whereabouts of Arc of the Covenant than it is to get information for your TV. I could just about confirm the existence of that TV model number and I could find absolutely nothing anywhere to match the model number of your remote. However, I think I have

    There should be a button in the top corner of your remote marked "F" or "FUNCTION". If you have this button, hold it down and then press MUTE while still holding F down.

    If you don't have the F, button, switching off the child lock should be as simple as holding down the "DISPLAY" button on the remote for about 10 seconds.

    If you have neither of those buttons, please can you check the model numbers - particularly of the remote - and get back to me.

    Thanks,

    BElectric

TV IS IN LOCK MODE

Try this. If you have a Hisense TV and it happens to be stuck in "child lock" mode (blue screen displaying the words "child lock") you can try to fix it by holding the "CALL" button on the remote for a few seconds.

I have the child lock on and the remote control is broken. How can I turn the tv on without the remote control

The power button on the TV doesn't work because of the child lock?
I went over the copy of your manual for your TV. It must be the child lock timer problem.
I would try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 mins and see if that reset the TV and releases the lock.
If it doesn't work, the remote needs to be replaced. A universal remotes aren't really universal when you need to use special buttons. The remote made for the TV is the best.
If your TV is the model 47PFL7403D, here's the cheapest place to buy a replacement.

Hisense tv on "lock"

If you have the original remote with the "CCL" Child Lock it unlocks it. If you are like me and lost the remote I unlocked mine by 1. Turn on TV 2. Hold down the menu button and unplu it. 3. Continue to hold the menu button down while you plug it back in. Mine unlocked, good luck.

My Hisense lcd is lock.

This is how I got mine to work after weeks of struggling just trying to find a new remote (hisense is really hard to contact....).
1) Turn the TV ON. unplug the tv while still ON 2) hold down the "menu" button on the side of the TV and plug it back in. keep holding it down. the TV should turn on with the menu popping up. use the Vol <> keys and Channel <> keys to navigate the menu. go to the Vchip menu, and play around. I'm not sure what ultimately worked, but i changed the Vchip password to 1111, turned the reset menu to "on" and played around with the ratings settings (turning most of them to "u"s etc).
I went through this process several times and finally, the black background behind the menu turned to static. I played around with the channels, and the TV was unlocked. I turned the TV off, and then on again, and the channels showed up normally (no static). and it was no longer locked. I had to do the unplug thing several times, and was getting really frustrated looking for an "unlock code" in the manual (it just says press the button on the remote. so it was not really helpful).
But really, once you can just get to that menu you've made some progress, and just keep playing around with it until something works.
Best of luck!!

DMR-ES30V remote and DVD panel buttons not responding

I assume you have fixed this by now, but if not, call panasonic's help line (number is in your owner's manual). They will walk you through the complete reset process (maybe 5 minutes). you will have to re-program everything the same as you did when it first came out of the box, but that doesn't take too long. Also, first try taking the batteries out of the remote. Make sure they are still good. Wait 60 seconds or longer, then replace batteries.
