Sometimes when the cycle runs it won't dispense the soap

I would certainly check with the repairman and have it checked. It is possible that a connection may have been missed since the new dispenser was installed.

May want to try liquid detergent instead. Sometimes using too much detergent will prevent the dispenser from opening and then the soap turns into a wet glob in the dispenser.

Depending on your type of dishwasher --------plastic parts break and you need to get into the door to see if the mechanism for the soap latch is broke. Sometimes you can see the parts that need to be fixed and --- it may be just a screw that you can insert into the plastic stem to make it work. You can find your diagram for parts online - maybe and get the parts you need or call a repairman to help.

make sure that the you let the hot water run for 2-3 min to make sure it is hot going into machine or it will not break down the soap.if the dispenser is opening then it is a tempproblem. let me know if my assistance was any help with a 4 thumbs up post

From your description even when the soap dispenser opens it is opening late which is why all the soap does not dissolve.

Try adding only half as much soap and see if it opens then - even a little spilled soap catching on that little latch mechanism can cause it to be difficult to close and stick opening.

Also make sure that the spring that controls the door is not broken.

It sounds like it may be stuck between cycle steps.(this sometimes happens if the washer is open during a cycle)Try and run it through one full wash cycle as it is.Then check to see if the soap door will close.If not,the lack may be broken

Your problem is: When you run a cycle, there is soap left in the dispenser at the end of the run.

Do you use a powdered soap? This can be a problem for some d/w. Sometimes it occurs as a d/w gets older. Try a liquid d/w soap. Make sure it says "dishwasher" on it.

The pipe from the soap dispenser to the tub is quite large, it seems as if the water isn't getting out of the dispenser quick enough. Pull the whole dispenser out of the machine. There is a release clip at the back of the cup with the tray fully open. Clean out all soap residue and scum. Sometimes there is also a spot or setting for liquid or powder detergent. Adjust accordingly. Reassemble and try it again.

do you have a salt unit fitted. I had the same problem and the repair guy had to replace the salt unit as it was blocked up. Failing that it might be the board not opening the solenoid to allow the water to be jetted through the soap dispenser.

Remove the outer door panel and check the actuator for the soap dispenser door it is probably broken. You might also check and make sure you don't have an old soap build up inside the soap dispenser. Sometimes old soap builds up and dries inside the dispenser and causes the door to stick. It should be free. Good luck.
