You probably have a blown sub(s) that short out when the volume is turned up. it would be a good idea to find out which one(s) is bad and replace it. sooner or later it may make the amp go bad if not replaced or removed.

Can you bridge a bamf 5500 to two mofodvc2 15's speakers that are wired at two ohm? If so how do you do it?

The BAMF 5500 is 1 ohm stable, so if each sub has their respective DVCs wired as 2 ohms, connecting the subs to the amp in parallel will give you 1 ohm on the amp.

Hi does the amp go into protection mode? or does the sound dip and amp stays on? if it goes into protection mode there's a good chance your running the amp wrong. If it dips and stays on its a power problem that can be fixed by adding a farad capacitor.. thank you for using Fixya.com

My 450 watt fusion amp is now in ''protect mode''. how can i fix this?

Start by completely turning off the power to it and anything connected to it. Turn all levels down to there lowest volume settings. Check to be sure your speakers are not shorted. Be sure the power voltage is correct. Turn on each of the items, the amp being last. That probably will resolve the problem but I am not that familiar with the unit just trying to help. Most units have stay in protect mode until I cycle the power. Typically they monitor the speaker current hence a short would cause almost an instant protect fault.
Good Luck,

Unit only stays on for 4 seconds then turns itself off.

This is a short or unstable ohm load. Remove all speaker wire connections to see if the amp will stay on.
If the problem goes away when disconnecting the speaker wires try this:
1) Check volume level on zone one and zone 2 if connected. If it is too high the amp will go into protect mode and shut off exactly as you described.
2) Make sure no wires are touching any other wire or the metal surface of the amp. This will cause a short and send the amp into protect mode.

My power acoustic BAMF 2200 amp wont power subs

Check all of your connections, make sure your RCAs are hooked up correctly, and aren't pinched anywhere, make sure your subs are hooked up right, and making good contact, if the amp turns on and doesn't go into protect mode it should be alright. If you can't get it going, take it to an audio shop and have them test it...

My Sony STR-DG500 wont turn on just clicks once and nothing.

Sounds like faulty psu (pwer suply unit) Amp is going into protection mode. Disconnected all speaker and av wires (only power) turn up volume and see if it stays on. If not psu, sounboard or volume function faulty. If on, connect one speaker L or R. Go to tuner mode to tuned radio station an listen for sounds. If on, connect speakers and av cables one by one and test each one on its own until amp switches off, Investigate from there were problem is. Make sure speakerwires is not shorting out.
