Error E1 & E2

I have a Janome Harmony 8080 with no manual. When first turning on the machine, the display screen reads E1. Then after unplugging and turning the machine back on, it now reads E2. What does this mean? What can I do to have this machine work properly? Thank you.

You posted this in the Kenmore 19233 Sewing machine problem but this is what we found for my machine

Well this happen to me today and let me say that I called the customer service numbers on my manual and let me say dealt with really rude people They told me a number to call which was my local store and talk to repair center there and when I called it directed me back to the same people who game me the number and was not very nice to me when I told them their number didn't help me. So after being so upset at my machine and the company I bought this machine from Found out the only troubleshooting you can get is take it to the store to send off for repair just shipping alone I was told was 80.00 plus parts and labor to fix it. My husband said when he got home he'd take a look at it. So I waited for him. He took the whole thing apart searching for a reset button found none. However he did find behind the button panel you know the buttons that you select your stitches and such. Well behind that is a electronic panel that has 2 fuses in it. I only recommend doing this if you are electronically capable. Or find a good friend that you trust that is. Check those 2 fuses see if they are good if you have no way to test them like my husband has then just replace those two fuses with the exact same fuse amps and such take them to Radio Shack or someplace that can help you make sure you get the right fuses place them back in the machine put it back together turn it on and presto you have 80.00 plus parts and labor that you'd be charged at an inflated rate in your pocket and your sewing machine will work. Mine did the same as the person who said that when you lower and raise the needles one way gave the error one way gave a normal screen... Except mine if the needle was in one direction it gave Error E1 and the other direction Error E2 and in a certain position it gave me the normal screen. However when turning it one the needed didn't move and adjust like it does when you turn it on. Ok I hope that this solves your problems and hope you all will call and complain to the company who provides no over the phone service. All I wanted was to know what the code stood for. They couldn't even tell you that. My old machine would tell you what the error codes meant in the manual this company doesn't cause they want to rob us of money by sending it in. Still have to pay shipping I was told if you even have the warranty... Oh and in my case only one of my fuses was bad. It was the one that is white and not clear the Ceramic fuse not the glass. Good luck hope this saves you all a lot of money like it did me...And had my machine the same day instead of being without it for weeks

Which parts on my Harmony 8080 (Janome) sewing machine do I oil.

Do you have a manual? Most Janomes have a sealed oil system meaning you don't ever oil anything besides the little wick under the bobbin case, just one drop now and then.

Janome Harmony 8080 showing SP in the display and I can't find my manual. I know I've had this issue before and the manual had the solution but I without the manual, I can't seem to fix it

SP means the bobbin winder is engaged. Move the spooler (where you put the bobbin when you wind it) to the left and your display will go back to normal.

My Janome Harmony 8048 sewing machine came up with an E1 error. My manual says that this means that the machine is out of order. I've noticed that if the needle is lowered and then turned on, it will...

make sure the bobbin winder on the top of the machine is all the way to the left. otherwise the machine thinks you are trying to wind a bobbin and sew at the same time.
