Need to change battery in EH23sa

The battery is actually accessed from the front of the watch.
You should have a "Case Knife" to remove the front bezel.
Remove the band first.
Set the watch in its side. Set the case knife at the groove where the watch band holder meets the front bezel, and give the back of the knife a sharp rap with a small hammer. The front bezel should pop off.
Some watches have a small circular plastic piece that will also come out. Gently remove the movement from the front. The battery (CR 2025) can then be removed from the back of the movement using a small, thin blade. Install the new battery. The inside back of the case should have restart instructions. (Push A -left button once. then push and hold A until hands move to 12:00. Push B once to start reception.
The back of the watch is plastic. Don't try to remove it.
Gently re-assemble movemengt. A watch case press tool is best for finishing assembly. I would suggest taking the watch to a jeweler if you are uncomfortable taking this watch apart. Good luck

I was just wondering how to remove the back of my watch so I could change the battery? Model AM-4065. Thanks for the help

To open the back of a Fossil Am-4065 your best bet is to use a watch case opener like this

You can also use a pair of needle nose pliers, but you then run the risk of damaging your case back. I would advise against it. I've had to deal with quite a few watches that were damaged in such a way.

The opener has an assortment of small pins. Usually you will be able to find some that will best correspond to the size of the grooves on your watch. Then the case opener can be adjusted so that the pins are securely fitted to the grooves so that you can then turn the case back off.

You will need to hold your watch securely while turning the opener, or it may slip out of the grooves and damage your case back. This is not a difficult task, you just have to go slow and carefully.

After you do so you should be able to carefully pop the battery out. Do not use a small screwdriver or other metal tool to do so. It can damage your watch. You can usually use your fingernail. After you do so you can simply read the battery number off and find a replacement. Many grocery store/drug stores and Radio Shack carry an assortment of watch batteries. You can also go to a website like Battery Bob and order the battery, but for one battery it may not be worth it.

Your watch will not have the same water resistance after you open it. Usually a watch like this will at least have it's case gasket lightly wiped with silicone grease before it's re-closed (or have the gasket/O-ring replaced and treated with grease). This should not be a problem if you don't swim or bathe with your watch on.

How do you take off the cap of a t-rex renato watch?

This is for the Renato Beast Ana-Digi but it should apply to other Renatos and watches in general. (There are different configurations for how the battery is held in place depending on the movement - some require removal of a screw to free up the arm that holds the battery down).

First remove the caseback with a caseback removal tool - the type with a handle and interchangeable prongs. Use the prongs that come with the tool to suit the slots in the caseback. Harbor Freight sells a decent one for around $8 - they are also available from various internet sources. The caseback may be on very tightly. Remove the strap/bracelet at the lugs just to be safe that you don't damage it. Now hold the case very tightly with fingers against he lugs (not on any of the push buttons or crown) - or use a case holder tool. Insert the tool with prongs lined up with the slots (for this watch I used 2 prongs since the slots are 180 apart, but I could have used 3). Holding the case very firmly push the tool into the case back very firmly so that the prongs do not slip out of the slots and scratch the caseback and turn it counter-clockwise. It may take a few tries - be careful and get a frim grip on both the case and the tool.

Once the caseback is removed you will see the battery has a thin cover plate over it. There are 2 tabs holding the plate to the movement. With a small screwdriver push down on the tab that is at the 6:00 position and move it slight to the left (counter-clockwise) and the plate will pop up and out. Remove it very carefully with a tweezers (plastic tweezers are best) being careful not to touch anything in the movement with your hands or the tweezers. The battery is now free - in this watch is the larger button type CR2016 (that is the Energizer number). Take the battery with you to Batteries Plus (cheapest) or your local watch repair or Radio Shack (maybe) and get a replacement.

Assembly is the reverse of disassembly. Being careful not to touch anything in the movement or the battery with your hands - use watchpaper (lint free) or in a pinch a paper towel or kleenex will do. With the battery in place and the cover installed (make sure the tabs are in place) use a bulb blower (or canned dust spray) and gently blow around the movement to get out any dust that may have settled in.

Unless you are a professional diver and need 30ATM water resistance (doubtful at any rate with this watch) you do not need to tighten it down too hard - just tighten the caseback down firmly and remember not to swim or bath with it on - unless you have a true Professional Divers watch you should not bath/swim with your watch on anyway. Now next time you need to remove it, it will come off much easier.

Once you have the tool(s) and practice a few times (practice on an ratty old watch to get the feel of things) it is only going to cost you the price of the battery around $3-6, instead of $15+ to have the watch battery changer guy do it. If you own many quartz watches the tools will pay for themselves after 2 or 3 battery changes.

Change battery

if you watch a notch in the middle of the watch back then all you do is slip a large coin and twist off the capsule top by pushing down and turning counter clock wise. If the back of your Nike has a plate with 4 screws in the corner then y ou need a precision screw driver and unscrew all 4 screws on the back to access battery back.

Backlight on DW6900

You cannot change the light. It is an electro-luminescence layer behind the display. It is something like a large LED. They are designed to not be very bright to save battery life. I have a number of Casio watches. They are all not very bright. Also the non silver background type watches tend to be much darker than the silver background with black symbols.

Remove back fro wrist watch to change battery

Generally Seiko uses a pop off back and a screw off back. The pop off back will be smooth and have no indication of how to come off. The screw off back will have several rectangular notches around the back where the prongs of a watch wrench fit.
Before you begin you should know that this watch is water resistant and sealed to 100m. This means you do not have the equipment to reseal the watch and you void Seikos warranty. Also, the titanium models are more difficult to seal the back because of the hardness of the steal and the powder coating. They generally require that you replace the rear seal to make the watch water resistant again.
To remove a pop off back use a watch knife and press it straight into the separation between the case and back. Do not use a sharp knife or widdle back and forth as this may damage the surface where the seal is or make burrs. Once you have driven the knife straight in you can move around the back repeating this until the back is completely off.
To remove the screw off back place the watch wrench in the grooves at 10, 2, and 6 o clock. Make sure the prongs are pointed inward toward the wrench the same direction to avoid slipping and damaging the watch. Turn counter clockwise until the back is off.
When taking the back off in either case you must be careful not to slip and scratch the coils or vital parts of the watch. These damage by touch and this will cause the watch to not work. Also, most chronographs require the watch be AC'd. The instructions for this are usually on the back lid of the watch or in the owners manual. If you make a mistake ACing the watch you can short it out or break the circuit board.
Because of the complexity of this seemingly simple task i recommend going to a watch maker/ technician to avoid complications that could end up costing you much more in the long run.

Where is the second battery located on a timex indiglo ?

The second battery is located underneath the top part of watch movement wich consists of two parts screwed or clipped together. Actually it is the bottom, not the top part, as 99% of watches are opened from the caseback side.
Some watches are assembled in the way, that after extracting the big battery, you can reach the second battery through the hole in movement. If this is not a solution in your particular case, then you have to take apart watch movement to reach the second battery.
If movement parts are held together by screws- simply unscrew them. If movement is held together with 'clip-on' steel plate- you have to unclip the plate by pulling all clips outwards from movement.
Allways memorise the polarity of batteries and the correct position of every watch movement part, even screws. This will make reassembly easy and correct. If there are any screws you need to unscrew- do not mix them up as they can be different lengths and sizes. Screw them back in the same holes they came out.
