I have burned some DVD+R with some Photostory 3 files. I am able to view them on my Dell Laptop DVD drive, but they are not viewable in any of the DVD players I have tried. Help?
I have the same problem as prev person. I can burn but I can't view on any DVD. I tried the solution to create first but it won't let me add the movie to my list so I'm stuck there also.I have the same problem as prev person. I can burn but I can't view on any DVD. First you need to make sure that you're using the option to create a DVD and not just burning the files over. You also need to make sure it creates a menu, even if you select the option to start playing automatically otherwise your DVD player won't know how to handle it.

Please test it with DVD-R. This laptop may have a drive which is not compatible with DVD+R or DVD+RW media. Also, if the drive is dying, it will not burn DVD media anymore, but it may burn CD media.
Are you able to see the files on the DVD? Try copying the files onto your computer first before viewing them.If the problem continues, try to use a different computer because your DVD/CD drive might be having trouble viewing burned DVD/CD(s).
Most of the newer DVR's do encrypt video files to prevent tampering and allow them to be admissable in court as evidence. Most DVR's will burn the required player to the cd as well as the video clip requested so that playback is possible.

reinstall your preferred burning app (1 prog installed at a time and test burn) this is to replace the filter entry that was corrupt
There are three ways to create a Video CD (VCD) that contains your photo stories:
You can obtain Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition and view the Photo Story 3-authored WMV file in Photo Story 2 by going to Play your story or create a video CD of your story and then create a VCD.using the Photo Story 2 Video CD-burning feature.
•
You can obtain Microsoft Digital Image Suite 10 or above and view the Photo Story 3-authored WMV file in the Photo Story that comes with the Digital Image Library and save and burn to VCD.
•
You can obtain VCD-authoring products that work with Photo Story files, such as MyDVD by Sonic Solutions or InstantCD\DVD by Pinnacle Systems. You can use these software to convert the Windows Media video (WMV) files into files that can be copied to a DVD and played in a DVD player. Note: VCD and DVD-authoring software is not included with Photo Story 3.
