My GPS301 does not pick up any cops or speed camara

Check to see if any are installed in the map folder. If there then go to safety preferences and select safety cameras for a sound warning

i agree cops are well know for failing if you have a few extra much considure upgrading to msi or accel brand cops ebay is a great way to pick em up but remember that 4.6/5.4 and the v10 6.8 are all pretty much the same engine call cops do interchange however there are many generations and should all be replaced in sets.

i drove right past highway patrol with radar gun pinter at me and it didn't make a sound...its garbage..dont buy

find a mobile speed trailer somewhere in a neighborhood just because it doesnt alert when you are next to a patrol car doesnt mean it isnt working 9 out of 10 the radar gun isnt on in the car or the gun is set to alert at a higher speed than what you are doing
i always check mine at the mobile speed trailers that the cops set up in neighborhoods

sorry but an average D/C radio can't pick it up. do you think the cops are stupid enough to have an average joe (no offense) pick up a radio scaner/D/C radio and let them get tracked. they learned that lession a long time ago. the average d/c radio gose from 550 -1400 the cops are out side of that rang, all the time. Also it changes from city to city/districs...

If its the 4.6 with the COP (coil over plug) design ignition system, run it until it throws an engine code (light). Take it to the nearest Autozone. They do a free diag check with an OBD2 scan tool. If it's the same as my truck it most likely is a failing coil, the scan will tell you the cylinder and they print out the cylinder numbers on receipt paper. Pick up a motorcraft coil for around $55 throw it in yourself in the parking lot. They can clear the code for you once switched out. Saves around $300 instead of going to the dealership. Or, pick up your own OBD2 scanner from the friendly mac tools supply truck. It's around $50, but is well worth it in the long run.

it usually doesnt disable the mic on webcam and go out and buy your self a logitech usb mic the quality is better and it works the web cams dont work ever and always conflicting with other irq'd software

Detecting of radar or lidar emissions depends on mounting of detector.In My experience it is best to mount it just above windscreen wipers.You must check if your detector is visible from license plate level. This is important for laser detection. For other measuring devices it's only important to be visible.Higher mounting facing downwards will reduce false X and K/Ka signals.It will reduce detecing of true as well, so it is all up to you.You must know that laser detecting only covers your car.It d'ont matter if a cop is 300m or 1800m away.X band has a large emission, and it is easily detected.K/Ka band is a pulse emitting and has a lot narrow detecting point.It is effective at max 800m.In ether case speed can be reduced 20-30 km/h in city, and 30-50 km/h on highway.
