Camera screen not working

I was using my camera then I turned it off and set it down only to pick it up a couple moments later. I turned it on but for some reason the screen was blank no matter what I do. I have charged the battery and stuff but it wont work. The light by the screen blinks red once when i turn it on and green a few times when i turn it off. The camera makes noises like normal. Why the sudden camera mood-swing? How do I fix it? [english please :)]

i have the same problem. when i try to take a picture...the photo is fully black. what is the problem and how do i fix it?

When you turn it on does it stay on? Try going into your picture taking mode and pressing menu. Then go to the setup tab and go down to reset and press right. Highlight ok and press select. That should reset your camera. Now see if it works properly. If not then you will have to send it in. It sounds like the flash is having mood swings and not wanting to work corrctly. You can call 8007062534 and then option 2 and they will tell you where to send it. Hope my Nebraska English was good enough for ya. :) LOL

Hi, I have bought this camers to use for listing items on eBay and would like to use it mainly for close up/detailed pictures. I have managed to get the camera on the macro setting for close up images but...

Go to the hardware store or even Walmart and pick up a couple of clip-on reflectors that use a standard-base light bulb. Purchase two "daylight" compact-fluorescent bulbs. Clip the units to some kind of stands and point the light on either side of your subject at 45-degree angles. Turn off the flash on your camera. Try to use a tripod if you have one. Your results will be spectacular!

How to view photos

To view them on the camera lcd screen, press the playback button (green arrow in a green box, 2nd button down to the right of the screen) and then scroll through them one by one using the left and right buttons on the thumb pad. If you press the up and down buttons the image will advance forward and back by ten pictures each time.

To view them on a tv, turn the camera off and connect the video cable supplied with the camera to your tv input terminal (yellow). Turn the camera on set the tv to display the input feed and then use the camera playback button as before.

To view them on a computer, you'll need to upload them to the computer first. The best way is to turn the camera off and remove the memory card, and then insert it into a memory card reader connected to your computer. The computer will then prompt you to upload and display the images.

PLEASE HELP!

There is a problem inside the camera with the wire harness/cable connection to the screen. They are know to come loose over time. If you tap rather briskly on the front of the camera right on the word Cybershot it should reconnect it. Worked on mine but you may need to do it now & again. The altenative is to have the camera dismantled and the connector pushed back onto the screen.

Now a couple months later I have a different problem, it says to turn the power on and off again when I turn it on to take pictures.
