There are several ways to adjust your printer for thicker photo paper:
Check the paper tray: Make sure that the paper tray is adjusted for the thickness of the photo paper. Some printers have adjustable paper trays that can accommodate different paper thicknesses.
Use the manual feed: If your printer has a manual feed option, try using it to feed the thicker photo paper through the printer. This can help prevent jamming.
Adjust the printer settings: Check the printer settings to see if there are any options for adjusting the paper thickness. Some printers allow you to adjust the paper thickness in the driver settings.
Check for software updates: Make sure you have the latest software updates for your printer. Sometimes, software updates can include new settings or features that can improve the printer's ability to handle thicker paper.
Check your printer manual: consult your printer's manual for any specific instructions on printing on thicker papers.
It's also worth noting that not all printers are capable of handling thick papers, so it may be necessary to use a different printer or have it professionally printed if none of the above steps work.
Your printer feeder wheels or Complete Printer needs service, also make sure the paper thickness and no of paper loaded in the paper feeder matter. Thin papers are more likely to jam due to less gaze (thickness)
Hi there,
If the paper does not feed properly it could be due to the follwong causes.
Cause 1 : Inappropriate paper type used
Action : * Check to see if the paper you are printing on is too thick or curled.
* Check if the paper exceeds the load limit mark, if it exceeds, load less paper.
Cause 2 : Paper Feed Roller is dirty.
Action : Follow the steps described below to clean the Paper Feed Rollers.
If envelopes or post cards do not feed properly, even after correctly any paper curl, clean the Paper Feed Roller.
1) Ensure that the printer is turned on and there is no paper loaded in the printer.
2) Hold the RESUME/CANCEL button down and release after the POWER lamp flashed there three times.
The paper roller rotates as it cleans.
3) Repeat this cleaning operation one more time.
4) Load a sheet of plain paper in the printer.
5) Hold the RESUME/CANCEL button down and release after the POWER lamp flashes three times, then feed a sheet of paper.
Cause 3 : Paper jams.
Action : Remove the paper according to the following procedure.
1) Slowly pull the paper out, either from the Auto Sheet Feeder or from the Output Slot Cover, whichever is easier.
* If the paper tears and a piece remains inside the printer, open the Print Head Cover and remove it.
Caution: Be careful not to touch any components inside the printer.
* If you cannot pull the paper out, turn the printer off and turn it on again.
The paper will be ejected automatically.
2) Reload the paper into the printer and press the RESUME/ CANCEL button.
If you cannot remove the paper or if the paper tears inside the printer or if the Paper Jam error continues after removing the paper, contact the Customer care center.
Hope this helps.

Have a good day.
Slipping paper feed rollers is probably causing the jamming. Remove the paper tray and tip the machine back so that you can access the feed rollers from underneath. A good technique to isolate this problem is to remove the rubber feed tires, turn them inside-out and refit them. If it now works OK you need to get new feed rollers.
no you might have a paper jam somewere and mabe you ink rollers are dry you might have to tell the printer to to a pre test and clean and if there is a paper jam it should be a slot on the back by the roller should be a tap that shows the tollers look for a pice of paper jammed somewere in the roller you migh have to take the paper out to inspct it for a paper jam and if none mabe the print heads are dry and it dosent feed the paper then could be it ok clean the print heads tell the printer to to a roller clean and then after that if no paper jam no were try printing a page take all the paper out and feed it manually and if it prints then some printer want feed if you have filled the paper tray up try putting less and then try
First I would suggest performing any head alignment functions with your printer's menu to be sure you have the stepper motor feed adjusted properly. Use the paper you are currently printing on for this procedure so that the thickness of that paper is factored in. If you stil see the banding after doing this, you can use the Advanced Media Control button under Printer Settings in ColorBurst to fine-tune the paper feed adjustment. Print out the "Media Advance.tif" target (located in the ColorBurst/images & Targets folder) to use as a guide. For white bands, you'll need to enter a negative number (to shorten the paper feed).
yes i have found a way to get round this paper feed problem, you need a peice of plastic about 3 to 5 mm thick.and about 5cm long a blob of blue tack and stick the plastic strip on the right hand side guide all the way to the bottom. put about 5 sheets of paper in to the guide and adjust the side guide( not to tight). this should help.
At the head you said 'paper thickness position'and then you seems to have ignored that and did all the other things.
Is there an adjustment for paper thickness, a lever perhaps.
It does seem to be with the paper feed or paper presence detection.
Take a look around, is there something stuck in the paper feed track?
Can you have pass a piece of paper through without it rucking up?
Do these things see what happens
