Siemens Sx66 Pda phone- not responding for hard reset-

I purchased the Sx66 pda phone yesterday and loaded some softwares.I opted for the password protection with simple four digits and entered the same. But some how i have forgotten the password and tried to hard reset the instrument as given in the manual in the case of forgetting the password. I hold down the power button and pressed the soft reset button simultaneously for 5 secs.But the hard reset could not be done and i get the same screen asking the password .I tried so many times the hard resetting but could not do it .The instrument is standing with the password demanding screen.How to solve this problem.

To hardreset, hold down the camera and recording botton, with the stylus push in the reset botton near the chargi point still holdin down the camera and recording bottons. After the blue,green,red colour screen appears. follow the instruction on screen using the recording botton to nevigate btween obtions and the camera botton to toggle btween yes or no and the email or message botton to execute comands.

If the hard reset doesn't reset the phone, then we need to reprogram the rom in the device.

Please go thought the page fully, first backup your old rom to a SD card, save it to your pc.

Get a new rom from the website, program it to the sd card, program the rom on the sd card to the phone.

Hello Sambicho.
The a1b2c3 may be the 'password reset' code after which you must enter YOUR original password, which it hopefully still has stored in it's memory.
Otherwise the 'someone' may have changed the user password.
Hope this is helpful.
FYI: passwords are case-sensitive.

After a soft reset, my Palm TX becomes stuck on the "Palm Powered" screen. I have tried all of the resets, including the hard reset. The PDA does not respond to any of the resets. I can not turn the PDA...

You need to perform full reset which will erase all personal data and set everything to factory default. You need to press reset and power button to perform full reset.It will give you confirmation once you choose yes it will perform hard reset If issue persist you may disconnect and reconnect to internal battery

Slow respond

The best solution to these problems is hard resetting your device. A hard reset will bring your PDA to it's factory default state, so your PDA will be as fast as it was when it was brand new. But this process will erase all your stored data (Such as adress book, messaged, appointments, tasks, pictures, ...) so you should consider having a backup of your PDA to your PC with a backup software before you hard reset your device. So later when you hard reset, you can recover the personal data with this backup file and continue using your PDA faster.
To hard reset your PDA, you must press the on/off button and reset button at the same time (reset button is a small button that needs to be pressed with your pen, and usually it is located in the bottom of the PDA). And later, wait a couple of minutes and the windows will be reinstalled and load up with the starting page of the screen alignment. After you completed all the settings, you can recover your data from your backup file (from PC).

Will not shut off

I recalled a problem a few years ago with my PDA and the solution (from Palm while still under warranty) was to do a HARD RESET of the unit.

Please note that a hard reset will wipe clean all memos and other information stored in your PDA. Make sure you HOTSYC your PDA before doing a hard reset. It will reset the unit back to its original factory setting. The way to accomplish this is by holding down the on/off switch while pressing the reset button on the back of your PDA. It will respond back by asking if you really want to reset (yes or no).

I did this and now I can turn off my PDA without worrying about it coming back on. Now all I have to do is figure out what in the old config (that's now backed up on the desktop backup) is freaking out the PDA and causing it to not turn off. Chances are it's a software that was recently added.

ok.... i see thtt ur prob is the same as mine. so here is the solution for it.... in ur pda on the left side there will be two buttons a camera and a voice recorder ok... just hold those two buttons at the same time and stick ur stylus in the soft reset hole.. located at the bottom of ur pda... and keep those buttons and the soft rest botton pressd ultil u see the options on ur screen
1.Enable KITL: NO
2.Format Registry Hive: YES
3. Format Storage: YES

yes and no can be nevigated by the two buttons camera and voice recordr ..
once these optinons are set press the mail botton.... and kazaaammmm ur pda is blank dnt worry it will reset or u can turn it off if it dosnt respond for 5 mins... and ur problem is solved the phone is reset right from the beggining and u can install all ur programns again!!!

Can't hard reset

I enter a password and forgot the same.I tried to hard reset the pda as given in the manual by pressing the power button and the soft reset button for 6 secs.But the instrument goes only to the password window.I tried many times the hard setting but no success. Instuct me how to solve this
