Supports DDR400 high performance memory
Max. capacity of system memory: 2GB

It does not mean the mainboard supports DDR 2 ram.
Best of luck

oh haha, so that note in the manual just means that I can only put 1 GB of either 266, 333,or 400 in each slot which equals 2Gb, right?
I CAN use two sticks of 1GB DDR400 RAM?
Memory
- Supports DDR400*/333/266 non-ECC, un-buffered memory
- DIMM slots: 2
- Max. capacity of system memory: 2GB
*DDR400 for 1 DDR DIMM slot, Max. 1GB
It's really that easy?
I can use two sticks of DDR400 = 2GB total.
Why would they make a * for it ???
