Ok that tells me something is wrong with the source of the video and sound then. What is the source you are trying to play? Is it coming from a cable / satellite box? For example can you get a DVD to play just fine on the TV? That would be a different source...

Thanks please let me know, just reply to my answer here and I can help you out.

It sounds like it is a problem with the cable box and attaching a DVD / VCR would confirm this. If it works fine with an other device attached you can be sure that the actual cable box is the root of the problem. Otherwise it will be very tough to diagnose. You would also not get a snowy picture if the cable box is "bad" so that still is my main suspect. Since everything else seems to be working with a problem I think it is the actual box... Maybe you can borrow a DVD player / VCR from a friend just to test with real quick?

Thanks, please let me know what you find,
    Tim

How can I set time and volume?

These 2 things can be done using the "Menu". (You can also adjust the Volume from the Driving Screen - tap bottom left area and slide the volume bar to adjust the volume).

From your Driving screen (showing map of current location), tap on the (middle of the) screen, to show the Main Menu (on the next screen),
Look for, and tap on "Change preferences".

1. To set Time:
On the next screen, look for and tap "Set Unit". On the next screen, select (tap on TIME), and you can set (reset) the (display) format and time.

2. To set Volume:
On the next screen, look for and tap "Volume preferences". You can then tap on the bar (position) and test/hear the level of the sound. And/or you can select "Link Volume to car Speed" ... and tap Done.

My ws-55311 shows blue screen on all inputs except the DTV input

This set has 3 hidden menus accessed with a different 4 digit number code----You need the Mitsubishi remote to enter.

One of them is the Option menu which will allow a hard reset of the TV back to factory original---98% of the time it will restore all inputs--cures all sorts of odd problems.

If you have that remote and want to try it let me know for sure the model number and I will give you a link to the instructions for doing it.

The alert is to loud, how can I turn down the volume for the alert?

Press the WEATHER/SNOOZE button to turn on the weather radio. Then press the "UP" or
"DOWN" volume button to select desired listening level. (Note: Turning the volume all the way
down [where no bars show] puts the radio into silent mode.)

Hope that helps resolve the issue.

No sound on 2 cannels. Volumn is low on others.

Check your menu/sound options for anything to do with "dynamic sound," or anything to do with "auto volume control." These read the incoming sound signal and "auto" adjust it for sound that is supposed to be the same level of volume throughout the show/commercials. This can however make sounds seem too low or non-existant. If you had all options for this off in the sound menu, and it still doesn't fix it...you will need to contact your cable/sat provider to have your incoming signal checked.

Let me know if this helped :)

I just powered on my Droid 2, but it isn't loading correctly. It has been on for over half an hour, but the screen is still showing just the droid "red eye" thingy. What do I do?

Sounds like its bricked. You can try to do a factory reset. 1. Turn Droid 2 Off by pulling battery.

2. Press 'X' on the physical keyboard and then Press and HOLD Power button until the Exclamation Point/Android picture shows(after motorola symbol).

3. To access menu options Press the "Search" button depicted by the Magnifying glass on the Keyboard and the menu items will show up.

4. Use the Volume Down key and select the "wipe data/factory reset "option with the Camera button all on side.

5. After thats finished, reboot the phone

Samsung TV - have sound/auto volume set to on. When TV is turned off and then on, tv volume is extremely low. Go back to sound menu, it shows "on" but if you go back and act like you are turning in on, the...

Hello Blindrid,
What I would suggest you do is Press your MENU button on the tv remote, Then down to SOUND and then Turn the AUTO VOLUME to OFF. Then come out of the menu screen.
Just to check that it has all work correctly. turn you volume upto a certain number for example 25
Then turn your TV off the turn it back on. Wait until it is displaying a picture then press the volume button Once either up or down and you should see that it will go to 24 or 26 depending on what button you pressed for the volume. This will keep your volume set to whatever you had it on before you turned the tv off.

Hope this Helps Please leave a thumbs up.

Cheers
