Here are the wire placements for the switch of a DeWalt DWD520 hammer drill:
The red wire from the motor goes to the top left terminal on the switch.
The black wire from the motor goes to the top right terminal on the switch.
The white wire from the power cord goes to the bottom left terminal on the switch.
The black wire from the power cord goes to the bottom right terminal on the switch.
It's always recommended to double-check the manual or contact DeWalt customer service for confirmation, as wire placement may vary depending on the specific model and year of manufacture.

Yes there is I looked and the model number posted is a demolition hammer, so you might want to recheck before checking, but go to Dewaltservicenet.com and in the middle of the page it will ask you for parts or below that manual, go to manual and type in your model number and you will get an explosion and current pricing for this tool. Let me know if I can help I work on their demolition hammer on occasion. Good luck
You have burned out the drill motor, it is shorted, the battery smoked due to a direct short, one thing I don't understand why the thermal limiter didn't trip in battery pack, I would contact manufacturer and try to get hem to buy you a new drill.
I have the same drill also drilled two holes and now nothing?
