LCM power fuse #25 15amp fuse for C222 keeps blowing periodically

The first place to start would be to have the LCM checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code , rather then guessing .
B1689 Autolamp Delay Input Circuit Failure LCM GO to Pinpoint Test F . B1691 Autolamp Delay Input Circuit Short to B+ LCM GO to Pinpoint Test F . B1695 Autolamp ON/OFF Short to B+ LCM GO to Pinpoint Test F .
Inspection and Verification
  1. Verify the customer concern by operating the autolamps.
  1. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage; refer to the following chart:

Visual Inspection Chart Mechanical Electrical
  • Headlamp switch
  • Autolamp switch
  • Autolamp sensor
  • Blown fuse(s)
  • Damaged wiring harness
  • Headlamp bulb
  • Loose or corroded connection
  • Lighting control module (LCM)

  1. If the inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can be readily identified, repair as required.
  1. If the concern remains after the inspection, connect the New Generation STAR (NGS) Tester to the data link connector (DLC) located beneath the instrument panel and select the vehicle to be tested from the NGS menu. If the NGS does not communicate with the vehicle:
    • check that the program card is properly installed.
    • check the connections to the vehicle.
    • check the ignition switch position.
  1. If the NGS still does not communicate with the vehicle, refer to the New Generation STAR Tester manual.
  1. Perform the DATA LINK DIAGNOSTIC TEST. If the NGS responds with:
    • CKT914, CKT915 or CKT70 = ALL ECUS NO RESP/NOT EQUIP, refer to Section 418-00 .
    • NO RESP/NOT EQUIP for lighting control module (LCM), go to Pinpoint Test A.
    • SYSTEM PASSED, retrieve and record the continuous diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), erase the continuous DTCs and perform self-test diagnostics for the LCM.
  1. If the DTCs retrieved are related to the concern, go to the LCM Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index to continue diagnostics.
  1. If no DTCs related to the concern are retrieved, proceed to Symptom Chart to continue diagnostics.

On dell 2405fpw, the screen just went black. Unable to select VGA input. Unable to perform self test.

You need to power cycle your LCD moniter, and then disconnect the display cable of your LCD from your system and see if yor LCD is doing the self test, if that is passing the self test that means there is nothing wrong with your LCD you need to check your system espeacially display adaptor and the drivers, you can also cross check if you have any other monuiter at home.

If your LCD moniter does not pass the self test then it means it has crashed you need to get it repaired or get the new one.

If you know someone who has the same type unit, you could try your unit screen (control head) on their hookup to see if you obtain the same results. If so, there could be a problem with the unit and it would need to be shipped back to our factory for a service test. If you do know know anyone with the similar unit, please contact me at the following email address and I will send you a transducer to test with the unit. [email protected]

48 gx does not turn on

Warning
In the keyboard test (below), make sure the keys are pressed in the right order. If the calculator fails the keyboard test then it needs repairs. (Ignore the beginning of the post and skip to the last part For Repairs )

You can reset the calculator:

Turn the back of the calculator towards you. Extract the top left rubber pad on the back of the calculator and use a paper clip to press the Reset button. If that does not restore the calculator to health, you should perform the diagnostic tests.

Make the calculator perform a
Self test.
  1. Turn calculator on
  2. Press and HOLD the key [ON]
  3. Press and release the key with "E" to its right (the one before last in first row)
  4. Release the [ON] key.
It tests the RAM and ROM. You will see various patterns on screen. Afterward you should see
IROM OK,
IRAM OK,
HP48GX OK
The self test will continue repeatedly until you perform a
System Halt
  1. Press and HOLD the [ON] key
  2. Press and release the "C" key
  3. Release the [ON] key.
The empty stack should appear.

If you do not see IROM OK and IRAM OK, the calculator requires service.

If the above procedure is successful, you may want
to test the keyboard.
  1. Turn calculator on
  2. Press and HOLD the [ON] key
  3. Press and release the "D" key.
  4. Release the [ON] key
  5. Press and release the "E" key. KBD 1 should appear on the top left corner of the screen.
  6. Starting at the upper left corner of the keyboard, and moving Left to right, press every key in sequence. If you follow the sequence and the keys are functioning properly you should hear a hight pitch sound at each press.
  7. If everything is OK, when you press the last key (+) the screen displays KBD 1 OK.
To exit the keyboard test proceed as described above under System Halt.

If you follow the proper sequence and a hexadecimal number appears after pressing a key, the calculator requires service.-

Gain failure

If you are 'testing' the unit by holding the right button and pressing power, the pmax units really don’t work with the internal test. What you are seeing in the test is what th humminbird factory computer test used to test it. That is really not intended to be used outside of the plant. If it works fine in normal mode then I would say that the unit is fine.
Best of luck!

Low Voltage

The power inverter board is most likely starting to fail. The unit should be sent in for factory service. They will change the board and test it out to make sure that another board did not cause the fault.
