You just need to change your screen resolution to fit the monitor. Right click an empty spot on the desktop and left click on Properties. This will bring up your Display Properties. Click the Settings Tab at the top right and you will see a slider bar on the middle left. Move the slider bar to the right or left one bit at a time and hit the "Apply" button. The screen resolution will change and if it does not look right, then cancel the change and go to the nest resolution setting. Repeat this process till you get a resolution that works well with your monitor. Cheers!

I have a new Acer X203H 20" wide computer monitor. All of my photos are streched wide, and everyone looks fat. Can I adjust this ?

You need to set the PC video resolution to 1600 x 900 for proper 16:9 wide screen format. But if your pictures that you taken with your camera were not 16:9, IE 4 X 5 then it will be stretched side way to fill the screen.

I cant fit the whole image on the screen. The options to adjust only allow me to adjust the width...it wont let me show both the top of my windows open AND the start button.

Your resolution may be set to high on the computer. Or you have a standard screen resolution set and since the monitor is a wide screen, it is cutting it off.
Try a different resolution 1440x900 is what the va1930wm uses.
If using a laptop with a standard type screen on it, you may have to set the laptop to just light the monitor to allow this setting to take.
Since this monitor is a wide screen, it may have options in the menu to stretch or zoom on an image if the resolution is not set to a wide screen format.

Problem in monitor the screen doesnot get full wide of it by control panel

Assuming your running Windows as the operating system on your computer, go into Display Properties and set the refresh rate to something other than 60 hz or default. On my XP computer this can be done by right clicking on the desktop, clicking Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Monitor. Anything in the 70, 72, or 75 hz range should work fine. If this does not fix the problem and the monitor is out of warranty trash it and get another one.
