Non-Stop Auto Configure

1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor. 2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor. 3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on. 4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works). 5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord. 6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.

Connect my Acer monitor to my digital cable box.

Not sure what your cable box outputs but connect your cable box to a tv and try changing the resolution of your cable box to 1600x900 or less if there is such a setting; the monitor will not display resolutions higher than 1600x900

Power only comes on for about 2 seconds

Please ensure your input settings are set to the correct input cable used (i.e. VGA, DVI, etc). You will be able to change settings right on the monitor under the "menu" key.

Good Luck,

Jesse

My acer x203h monitor will not come out of sleep mode.

Hook a spare monitor to the computer, if okay! the problem is the power supply board, one or capacitors are open leaving in some cases a slight puff at the top. If symptoms are the same for both displays, it means the Video Graphics Card in the computer is defective.

You might have a bad video card. Most of the new computers come with an "integrated" video card, meaning most of the components are 1 piece.

If you have another cable, try that, same with another monitor. Then if you are able, purchase a video card and test to see if that fixes the problem.

And if you have a warranty, this should be covered.
